I am not sure, Korean actors still don't make as much as Western actors in most cases, and that they are a global market does seem unfair. I would argue the top billed actors deserve top billing. But top billing projects are limited. There are a lot of actors still coming up or waiting to be found.

I read the whole thing, but I had a hard time understanding how Netflix fits into the problem. If anything, Netflix putting more money into dramas seems like it would help. Unless they mean Netflix is paying actors so much that it has created an unsustainable precedent.
Good point, Squid Game and Moving are two of the biggest internationally in recent memory. Squid Game the biggest ever. Other big international dramas like Attorney Woo I wouldn't classify as romance either. Sub plot sure, but not the focus of the series.
Who needs actual sunshine when we have Miyeon 😊

Not usually my type of music, but I am kind of obsessed with her vocals. It is so beautiful and gritty at the same time

Oh no! Why! It is my favorite series, ever!
He is also so awesome in everything! But especially My Liberation Notes haha
for me there really is nothing better than 2521, but I do adore Weak Hero Class as well
She is so awesome in everything! But My Liberation Notes is an all time great performance for me
For just the character or the series overall?
Seen them all! Every series she has ever done 😊
Yeah, Stranger and Kingdom are all time favorites for me
I have only seen True Beauty, I enjoyed it a lot haha.
Really liked the ending. Fitting end and growth for every character. And loved how that adventure of youth was inherited by the younger generation. Also appreciated that Eleven was left to our interpretation. Felt any interpretation would be fitting just some happier than others. What did you think?
Inflation does go up every year. Still such a bargain all things considered
Lol, I am usually the opposite. I can't keep up with them because 2 eps per week is hard to stay engaged. This is basically binge watching which I love. But yeah 40 eps is quite the commitment.
Oh wow, how? It is so good! At least to me haha
masterpieces aren't for everyone : )
Lol, he really is great! The entire cast I think is so good. They feel like a real little pirate family haha. I haven't seen or read the content they are based on, so it is all new to me. But I love them all so much
#TheRedSleeve (2021) – dir. jung ji in and song yeon hwa
He really was wonderful this season. Especially loved him on the Prehistoric island : )
I thought Boyfriend on Demand was quite good. Modern concept but more of a slow burn relationship. Parts of it are cheesy but I would say overall the theme stays fairly grounded, at least for a show based on such an ungrounded premise haha
Before or after their 30% cut 😭
FINALLY finished #BoyfriendOnDemand and... wow. I thought it would just be pure silliness, but it was grounded in reality.
Wish it was a weekly #kdrama so we could treasure each episode longer, but I enjoyed this much more than expected.
And Seo Inguk... the world needs him to be in more romcoms
