Anyone else having problems with irishgenealogy.ie? Are we all looking up people we found on the #1926census?

That's so lovely that you have found her. You might be able to find out when she died on irishgenealogy.ie?
Check out Ireland’s newly released 1926 Census returns…
The 1926 census is published online today and if you’re one of the 80 million people who claim Irish ancestry I think you’ll be interested in this brilliant article on why this is so important and interesting from Professor Ciara Breathnach

Pow!
Took a bit of a gamble today with a jaunt up to Upper Teesdale, not expecting too much if truth be told. But even a handful of these was enough to make the journey worthwhile.

Photography question (posted it on BugGuide but no answers there yet): need a good cheap digital camera to upgrade to from a Canon Powershot A620. I’ve mainly used it for macro photography of moths. Thanks!
There's more about the events of 1885 at the fantastic @lselibrary.bsky.social Women's Library at 100 exhibition

A newspaper article in the Belfast telegraph, titled ‘Before the 1960s, this idea of comingohtdid not really exist in Northern Ireland’.
If you’re based in Northern Ireland, I have a piece about my new @cornellupress.bsky.social book in the @belfasttelegraph.co.uk today!
Mine were Church Hill and Summerhill...Wonderful isn't it?
What a day to be a Murphy in Ireland
Let's talk about something positive: What are you looking forward to discovering (or hoping to!) in the 1926 Irish census records, due to be released later this week? #speirghorm #spéirgorm #irishgenealogy #1926census #ancestry
The 26 county Irish census from 1926 is going live tomorrow at nationalarchives.ie/collections/...

As we all look forward to the release this Sat, April 18th, of the #1926census, I am delighted to say that, following more than year as a freelance #genealogy consultant, I am setting up on my own as www.yourancestorstories.com. Feel free to share with your network - I'd love to write their stories!
I think it will come in a future phase: 'These future releases will include a dashboard and tools that allow users to explore and analyse the census across all fields'
Here's the link to the #1926Census of #Ireland which just went live, in case anyone is looking for it. Happy searching! nationalarchives.ie/collections/...

It is wonderful to see the #1926Census online, but as far as I can see there is no facility to do searches on further information e.g. county of origin - you have to actually go into form A1 to see that. #IrishFamilyHistory #IrishGenealogy
Found my great-great-granny and her youngest daughter & my great-grand-uncle and his wife - all in Wicklow Town as expected. My great-grandparents had already emigrated to Durham by then. #1926Census #IrishFamilyHistory #IrishGenealogy
Yaaay! The 1926 census is live! Searching for my relatives #IrishFamilyHistory #IrishGenealogy
In advance of tomorrow's release here is a short piece on the historical Irish censuses based on my past and ongoing research #spéirgorm theconversation.com/80-million-p...
The brilliant @ciarab.bsky.social talking about the release of the 1926 Irish census and how census research opens windows onto both your family’s past and the state’s past.
I'm pleased to announce I'm a founding co-editor of the new @manchesterup.bsky.social book series, Radical Histories.
Do let me know if you have a proposal for a book that fits our inclusive remit on radical histories.

Congratulations, Tom! Looking forward to reading it.
The book cover for Belfastmen: An Intimate History of Life before Gay Liberation. It shows two men sat on a bench in the 1930s.
"Belfastmen: An Intimate History of Life before Gay Liberation" is published TODAY by @cornellupress.bsky.social! I tell the story of how queer men didn't just exist in Belfast but could be accepted by friends, family & colleagues... at least until a moral panic about homosexuality in the 1950s. 🧵
This second edition is essential reading - for everyone. If there’s one book I’d recommend in environmental history, it might be this.
With an introduction by @brdemuth.bsky.social! #EnvHist
