I'm soooo excited! I made a donation of a small art piece for their fundraiser the Spotlight Auction.
There are a ton of gorgeous pieces and I already have my eye on a few I want. Here's the link with all the information. I'm an ARTIST!!

The butterfly clutch bag with the front flap open.
I took a little social media break. It's just a bit much with the constant barrage of narcissism, hatred, and mental illness every day. I decided during my break I needed to make something joyful. This is a pattern by Sweet Pea Embroidery and I love it!! I am planning on making a bunch more!
The front of the Unique-orn quilt top. It is a unicorn with rainbow colored main and multi colored background behind it.
The backside (aka the paper side) of the quilt top. The papers will be removed before quilting the top.
My first time making the Unique-orn quilt in the smaller 30" x 40" size. Every time I sew one, I marvel that I could make something this beautiful. Thank you Helen (And Sew I on Insta/Facebook) for this creative and stunning pattern! Just need to remove the papers and quilt it! #FPP #QuiltSky
I will!!

I am thoroughly enjoying my Saturday night, I hope you are too! #FPP #quiltsky
Even as things are crazy, I take joy in the little things. Like giggles from my son and hearing my husband this morning humming in the kitchen making coffee!! π₯°π₯°π₯°
Thanks!!
A photo of me in front of the marquee at the Funnybone in Orlando. The marquee shows a picture of Steve Hofstetter.
I wanted to go see Steve's show here in Orlando, but none of my friends could go.... So I dealt with my anxiety and went by myself. It was a fantastic show, the people at my table were so kind, and the meet and greet was interesting and well worth the ticket price. I'm so glad I went!
One of the million reasons I stopped using TikTok. I don't trust Trump or the government.

Unique-orn quilt made by me! It's the 70" x 80" version. It's a unicorn with a rainbow mane with a blue and green background. The pattern is by And Sew I.
Here's the first one I made! This smaller version is soooo much easier!
Just one more thing to add to the list. You know, the list of things that need fixing after the dictatorship ends. If you don't see this as a way to spread propaganda to the troops, you aren't paying attention.

Since my mom passed I don't hear much from my extended family. I was upset at first, and now I just don't care. I have more important things (and people) to worry about.
That is a bummer. I had two uncles who passed and no one on that side of the family told me... for years. Until I asked a cousin about them. She promised to keep me in the loop now, she thought her mom was keeping me updated.

Got up at 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep. Which obviously means it's time to sew! I'm working on the Unique-orn quilt pattern by And Sew I. This will be the 3rd time I'm making it, but the first time I'm making the smaller version. I love this pattern so much! π₯°π¦ #quiltsky
25 years ago today, I finally brought my son home from the hospital. He was already 4 months and 2 days old. I was terrified! A new mom with a 4 lb 4 month old baby, with no idea what to expect. Now he's 25, needs full time care, and his smile, giggles, and kisses still bring me such joy!
Thanks!!
My cat Matty laying on top of a quilt in my lap. I'm petting his head and his eyes are closed.
I was on a roll sewing my latest quilt. But then an adorable little cat came up to me, stared in my eyes and gave me an adorable little meow. I guess it was time to take a break! πΈ
Ugh. Well at least you aren't in as much pain. I'm good. Finding my groove a little bit more every day!
@reesemorrell.bsky.social Are you feeling better?
Shocking bankers are Trump lovers and not smart. (I worked in administration at a bank for 12 years.)

I learned a lot making this quilt: Using acrylic gel medium or Mod Podge to add words to fabric, using Hot Fix on fabric and cut it both with a Cricut and by hand, painting on fabric with acrylics. I love this! But I might make a Truth 2.0 to have the words come out cleaner.

I finally finished my latest art quilt, TRUTH. On New Year's Day 2026, I was thinking of all the lies told on Truth Social in a year. I went through all the posts by Trump for 2025 and decided to put them on fabric. The blue spots are TRUTH burning through all the lies. #QuiltSky #protestquilt 1/2
He's amazing! I've been following him on Facebook.
Here's a great article about 100 women who have changed the world: www.historyextra.com/100-women/10...
A tattoo I got on my upper left forearm in November 2024 after the election. It says: "A woman's place is in the resistance" and is over the Star Wars symbol of the resistance.
#InternationalWomensDay is a great day to remember that women have been changing the world for centuries. From Joan of Arc to Frida Kahlo to Marie Curie, women have been breaking barriers, shaping history, science, politics, and culture. Women have always been part of the resistance!
The view of trees, cloud, and blue sky from my open moonroof.
I have been finding reasons to get out of the house and go for a drive. I'm in love with my new car, and I find it's good for my mental health too! I mean just opening up the moonroof makes me smile!
Canvas fabric with quotes on it, with burn holes randomly around the fabric and a light blue fabric as the background for the burn holes.
I was definitely ambitious thinking I would get this done over the weekend! But I am very close to getting this art quilt finished. My goal is to have it all done by Saturday to bring with me to the next SAQA meeting as a show and tell. π€π½π€π½
A light green background with the words Hello March in the middle with some green waves and the Didi Sews Love logo.
Yup, I totally know it's 7pm and I'm just posting this. May you have a month that wasn't as bad as February. Sorry, that's the best I can do. π€·π½ββοΈ #welcomemarch
