Absolutely. I make sure to credit when I use her patterns. As one speaks your name you live on. 💙

I really love using print fabric to seem like texture.

I like playing with print fabrics to play with texture. This was a good experiment, I may try to seal it with mod podge, or just leave it in the free art library.
#RepostYourArt day 20, Critter.
This reposted pixel #eevee from June 2025, is just further excuse to merge my hobbies of sewing and Pokémon. The first big quilt I made using quilt as you go method, used print fabric of each of the gen 1 starters.

Quilt made on a budget using dollar store FQ bundle, white fabric from WallyWorld, and stash. This top was given to Brown Sugar Stitchers as part of their Charity Quilt drive.

The tablecloth described in previous post on a desk with monitor and keyboard. The print pattern is small white and occasional black triangles against orange.
Odd shaped desk. Functional custom tablecloth.
An orange print fabric in a shape that resembles a large rectangle and the lower left is smaller rectangle. It is trimmed with black.

I prefer making quilts but I dabble in wearable or useful items too. This is a tablecloth for my cousin's L-shaped-ish desk which becomes a drink station for parties. Measured the surfaces and pieced together with a drape-allowance.

A quilt on grass that has a variety of fabrics with no overall coherence or theme. There is small white border, and the binding is scrappy too.
#RepostYourArt day 17, Doodle.
The closest to a doodle I have in quilting is a picnic blanket quilt from scraps that were sewn together without plan.
A close doodle in quilting would be free motion FMQ, but that's a 'not yet' for me.

A quilt displaying 6 reverse-appliqué molas. Each panel is a large block, set against black background and colorful solid stripes. In the upper right block, there are small embroidered words indicating date and location in Panama.
RepostYourArt day 16, Colorful.
A quilt I made for a friend who visited #Panama and brought back reverse appliqué molas as souvenirs. I used my machine's basic letter embroidery for the dates and location of their trip.
Quilt completed January 2023.

A stuffed teddy bear whose body is mostly white and navy stripes, though the outer arms and ears are blue. It has a white face with ribbon stitched eyes and a button nose.
#RepostYourArt day 15, Soft.
Made in June 2020, this is a bear using two work shirts from my partner that had run their course, and a scrap of soft flannel for the face. I wasn't confident to use "good fabric" yet. This project was a good exercise during social distancing.

Futurama is the real credit for that word!
Alas, orphan blocks go in plastic bin similar to a terrarium. 😅
Thanks! The pattern is called "All wrapped up" and was jelly roll friendly.
#RepostYourArt day 14, Yummy.
A very fun block to make last year. I should revist, make more and eventually a whole quilt with scraps & this pattern. Currently this one block sits in the orphanarium box.

A button up collared shirt (without the buttons yet) on a table. The collar, inside yoke, and shirt sleeves are red while the inside back is slate teal blue. The predominant fabric of the front is a print fabric of tropical flora and Frida Kahlo with a monkey against beige fabric.

A button-up collared shirt I made for a friend in April 2023 using Frida Kahlo inspired print fabric by #AlexanderHenry. This sparked my desire to make wearable stuff. The finished shirt has macthing red buttons but cannot find the pic. #SewSky #FridaKahlo
A black cat with small blep tongue loafing on the quilt on what appears to be a desk
I was somewhat afraid of posting what is literally my first attempt at making a quilt, and this was my experiment before a bigger version. Definitely learned what didn't work. Slyvestor doesn't judge and still enjoys this cozy quilt.
A quilt of a large pinwheel of yellow and flowers against white triangles and print squares. Person holding quilt wears shirt saying "the best gifts are homemade".
A black cat on top of the yellow pinwheel quilt, his yellow eyes almost coordinate with the yellow in the quilt.
#RepostYourArt day 12, Cozy.
This is my first quilt ever, Dec 2020. Didn't have: 1. batting & used mattress pad, 2. walking foot & did longer stitches. Tried to sew a deliberate wave and oof.
Shows my improvement in 6 years. Friend's voidcat Slyvestor enjoys it regardless. #QuiltSky #BlackCat

The first project I sent to a longarm quilter, and my first request. When he saw quilts I gave to his children, my BiL said "I want one", so I opted to make one for his birthday. Pattern from JustGetItDone that suits masculine taste. Done Sept 2022. #QuiltSky
A quilt of beige background of a very long dachshund wearing a sweater of various plaid fabrics of red, black, and white. The body of the tan dachshund has 3 rows of body in these sweater fabrics, and a row for the head and the rump each. It is quilted with swirly paw prints, and bound with plaid fabric.
#RepostYourArt day 10, Pencil.
I use pencils in my sewing, but not in any visible way. So here a pencil-shaped sweater dog in a quilt. I know it's a stretch. 😉 Completed Dec 2023, and given to my dachshund-owner friends. #QuiltSky #Dachshund

I miss working on an easy quilt pattern, and should probably send this off to my longarmer; right now it's just folded in the closet.
A small quilt rectangle of a yellow guitar with sultry ladies, unicorn, monkey, squirtle appliquéd as stickers. The guitar is against light blue background and has black music notes on white border.

#RepostYourArt day 7, Silly.
I pieced this guitar and added appliqué to look like the funny stickers on the guitar of Metalsome guitarist Billy McCullough. Pics of the art, the reference, and the act of giving it. I made and gave this in July 2023.

Beautiful. Also, I love when I find perfect backing from stash!

I am definitely a cat person, and I have made art of other people's pets. I have my earliest attempt at portrait. The ginger cat portraits are from after I took the workshop from ArtEastQuiltingCo.

BlueSky feed showing a post from JamesBBarrow and BodegaCats. JamesBBarrow posts a Rainworld art month digital painting "The Mother" depicting a yellowish glowing slugcat lying atop flora with 3 slugpups cuddled on her, with the unintelligible symbol for The Mother achievement in the RainWorld game. The next post from BodegaCats shows a ginger and white cat lying in similar position as the slugcat from JamesBBarrow paiting.
