Hi all @plantsciencedbg.bsky.social members and other ๐ฝcommunity folks, #MBP2026 ๐ฑ is no open for registration. Please ๐โโ๏ธ to: www.pflanzen-molekularbiologie.de/en/conferenc...
Our latest work is out! We set out to see if we could recreate soil-nurturing plant growth in vitro. The plants looked happy and we see microbiome-induced cell-type-specific responses! A modest step but a fun challenge ๐
New publication from Healthy Crops!
Our latest study in Plant Biotechnology Journal reports that our #genome-edited #rice varieties which are resistant to bacterial blight, are free of external DNA and show no yield penalties in multi-location field trials!

Next, Hannah Lepper from @franzificht.bsky.social lab in Dรผsseldorf is investigating the enigmatic role of trehalose 6-phosphate during land plant evolution #MAdLand2025
Congrats Franzi!
Coming out in @NaturePlants today (rdcu.be/eBScJ): The mechanism for essential amino acid transport across the chloroplast envelope. We identified RETICULATA1 (RE1) as a new type of transport protein. #PlantScience #AminoAcidTransport #Chloroplasts. @franzikuhnert.bsky.social @weberlab.bsky.social
