We found a 2nd-hand Greenworks snowblower online pretty cheap & it works! (we use Greenworks garden equipment wherever possible 'cos rechargeable & no stinky noisy petrol)

We've been eyeing this model since we moved here, chuffed to finally find one we can afford. Beats back-breaking shovelling!

If you've heard about the double vortex that's hitting Italy right now, this is how it's going in these parts.

That's one day's worth of snow.

โ€œBe kind, be involved, believe in your art,โ€ he said. โ€œAt a time when people tell you art is not important, that is always the prelude to fascism. When they tell you it doesnโ€™t matter, when they tell you a fucking app can do art you say, if itโ€™s that important, why the fuck do they want it so bad? The answer is because they think they can debase everything that makes us a little better, a little more human. And that, in my book, and in my life, includes monsters.โ€

My latest YouTube video - an introductory talk about different Hat styles, sizing, construction methods and more.

Because there is so much more to the humble woolly Hat!

Too much for a 25min video, I have a lot more talks planned ;)

WE ARE COLLECTING THE KITTENS THIS EVENING!

5 months ago 31 0 0 0

Aren't they? I'm well chuffed to be getting a grey! We'll now have two tortie flavours (our eldest, 16, is a Calico)

And a friend suggested that, given the family genetics, the grey might turn out to be a diluted tortie (mum is orange; litter had an orange sister who didn't make it)

The mischief makers themselves - tortie is Misu, grey is Tira. 8 weeks old.

KITTENS!

We're not sure what Mina, Namu or Jaz will make of this.

Jaz is cat-friendly, we had 3 cats when we got her as a pup. Namu had kittens year ago, she'll be OK. Mina though may not...

We're picking up the kittens (Tira & Misu) tomorrow afternoon.

They'll be in my room for a week to adjust, the slowly get wider access to the house.

Room is ready! Curtains may go, not sure about my wall hanging. Cat trees should help with access & avoid furniture scratches.

One more sleep. #Cats

For #ShowMeYourKnits hat week here is a simple one I knitted using @woollywormhead.bsky.social 'Dylan's Beanie' pattern. Her patterns are great, this free one shows you how to start from the top down which makes fitting more of a success. Recommended. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

You get money from a book you published on a date you can't predict. it will be a sum you can't predict. you will never know if the ranch is saved or not. Everyone makes interest off your royalties before you do, and you're probably not making *any* interest at all

And you don't have dental.
