Maybe I’m over exaggerating because this is such a jarring change after playing GoW3, but I really do hope that PlayStation Halo remake doesn’t add a 3rd person mode that makes it identical visually to all their other output. Astrobot is exempt from this of course, and has never done anything wrong

And to be clear, I do like it, but I kind of miss when game franchises had their own quirks and playstyles. All PlayStation games now look and have the same controls, UI, and art direction. Even FF7R feels the same despite being a different genre of game

Started up the God of War Norse reboot after loving GoW3, and it’s pretty good, but I’m starting to notice a similar pattern in all modern PlayStation games. This feels more like Last of Us with an ax than it does God of War

Well, you know how it is when your alien doppelgänger tries to replace you but you manage to get away, only to end up in the clutches of a different faction that wants to use you as leverage against the other aliens.

Think this is the first time I’ve heard anyone acknowledge the DOA movie since I rented it from Hollywood video

Something I’ve noticed in a lot of modern TV is that acting has gotten really… stoic. So many characters just saying their lines with no emotion or pizzazz. It’s BOOOOORING

I was never too interested in this franchise growing up (didn’t love button mashers) but it’s been more fun than I expected. I’m mainly only playing them because I’ve heard the Norse GOW games are some of the best of all time, and I refuse to jump into any franchise midway

Took a break after beating the first God of War earlier this year but finally got back to God of War II. Basically the same exact game, but left me on a cliffhanger! So I started up GOW3 immediately and it’s INSTANTLY better. Such an upgrade over the first two it’s actually insane

As much as I wish I didn’t, God I love products

If you’re going to risk your life infiltrating an alien stronghold, you may as well have a little fun with it

I read 30-50 books a year nowadays and I’ve always LARGELY preferred hardbacks. But I’m also a book collector. I love having everything I’ve read in an organized home library and paperbacks just damage so easily. Broken spines aren’t a deal breaker, but I would PREFER them not broken

Annnnnd that’s a wrap on Remake. What a game man. It really highlights what made people love this story and I get it. It’s truly great. Think I’ll wait a bit to start Rebirth though, knock some other games off my playlist before diving into something that big

Truly like 12 BriTANicK sketches one after another and I didn’t realize how much I missed those until watching it. It’s been like 13 years!

So I started my next game and after being slightly underwhelmed with the original Final Fantasy VII, I am now 3 hours into Remake and….

Guys this game is really damn good. Like REALLY good

I think 4 pretty much rocks too, apart from over half of it being cutscenes

I don’t hate it, I can’t hate anything that ends with your sword fighting your father who is the president to the death, but yeah massive step down, especially when 1 is easily my favorite

Yeahhh it has some cool ideas, but it’s kinda a mess
