Thanks to @stigofthedump.bsky.social for yesterday's #MerseyMeetUp in #Liverpool, nearly got through a a 36exp film on my Fuji STX-1N, but also took a few digital shots with the original #Fujifilm #X100 - here's one of them on Seel Street

Just posted this elsewhere, so I thought I should here, Canon FD200 F2.8 lens on a GFX50S (back in 2023) - USA Auto Day at Oulton Park

And in technicolour, that new fangled thing................
I use a Peak Design Slide Lite, easy to adjust to different lengths, the Lite is much more comfortable than the full blown Slide (which is much thicker)
Iβve done original X100, Canon 5D and the X-Pro1, they all have their proβs (I still have the X100) but they are not film!!!
Interesting, a white balance shift in post on the colour digital files might have made them more similar to the film ones.
I think there are some CMOS sensors that can look more filmic (original X100, X-Pro1 (especially with 35mm F1.4, original Canon 5D), and Foveon ones to explore....
I find that I carry the camera (GM670 here so similar body and weight) best with a longer strap and wear it crossover style, much more comfortable than it wandering around upfront!
Negs look great though, not got a 6x9 at the moment (have 6x6,6x7 and 6x8), maybe that needs rectification π
Its certainly not lightweight, Body, 2 lenses, 2 backs, tripod, etc, but both the experience and the images make it worth it.
Mine in various Welsh Quarries, yes you have to be a bit mad but staring into that huge WLF is worth it (and the images are none too shabby either)

Might still be worth a play with 35mm, tighter FOV but maybe a tad more sharpness. Would be more tolerant of slightly larger pinholes
Have you thought about using extension tubes to move the pinhole further from the plane of focus, will obviously result in a smaller FOV but may increase sharpness in the centre.
I'll agree, a great book and a really enjoyable read π
A fraction of a stop here or there won't make much difference (with reciprocity of the film), simple multiplication should suffice!
For Apple users (not you!), Light Meter Ultra, you can create a Pinhole Camera c/w lens, and select f-stops in 1/3 stop invervals up to f-1024

The FF-9 is a real sleeper, last one I bought was Β£2 in a bric-a-brac store, tested it and gave it to my stepson who regularly uses it. A couple of years later I found an unused (boxed) FF-9 case in another bric-a-brac store, cost me a Β£1 π Nice little cameras
I did this, and returned to film MF. Digital Medium Format is great, the images have tonality and a certain 'depth' even at regular apertures but they don't have that MF film look. So I settled for FF in digital and have revisited MF film (shooting about 30 rolls a year)
