A feather-and-fan pattern in a speckled variegated red, gold, white and teeny blue colorway sits on a 40” circular needle. A narrow stripe of dark burgundy surrounds the hem and borders a larger stripe of dark gold, red and orange tonal in the middle of it. Today 4-19-26 at my place it’s #SundayAfternoonKnitting 1-3 pm in SE #PDX! DM for directions! We have a whole lot of fun. Meantime please enjoy the lace section of this Marettimo tee—it seems to be holding up so far…

I will have a piece of that, thank you. 🍕
Marion and Dorothy! Goodness. Blessings on your many grands!
I just love them so. The other is Louisa. If there has been a 3rd she would have been Muriel. Modern names often have no (or too much) polish, they’re twee at worst. I’m least fond of ‘50s-60s names like mine—Lynn—but I haven’t another, so… 🤷🏻♀️
Ah, my oldest is named Josephine, goes by Josie! Almost 29.
Top down though I do bottom up about half the time. Well, more than half the time, it's how the pattern is written and apparently the ones I like are bottom up...
A just-begun knitting project in deep reds and a variegated skein with much red, gold and white sits on circular needles resting against a brightly colored arm of a chair. A small, soft, unblocked brown shawl lies on a wooden sideboard. Little Bit of Love designed by Romi Hill: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-bit-of-love Yarn: Small Bird Workshop Dunlin, colorway Conker
Finished: Little Bit of Love shawl by @romidesigns.bsky.social. For such a small shawl it was a lot of work, 99% of which was in the bind-off. I think I made it harder than it had to be. Now to block it.
😛
Oh, wonderful! I hope they're up and running as soon as possible.
A soft brown shawl ending in a feather-and-fan-type pattern sits mid-bind-off against an iPad. This is the Little Bit of Love shawl by Romi Hill: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-bit-of-love Yarn: Small Bird Workshop Dunlin, colorway Conker, exclusive to the Beehive in Victoria BC.
We're meeting tomorrow 4-5-26 1-3 pm @ my house again as we wait for Tom's to reopen. DM for directions. Meantime please enjoy the continuing never-ending bind-off of this shawl. #SundayAfternoonKnitting #PDX #pdxkniting #pdxcrochet #knitting #crochet
Running through my head non-stop. Please go away, Corook, it’s been more than a week:

A soft brown shawl in a feather-and-fan-type pattern sits on a 40” circular needle being bound-off. IT IS NOT GOING WELL, ROMI. 🤣🤣🤣 Pattern, which really is a lovely one: Little Bit of Love https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-bit-of-love
JFC THIS BIND-OFF. Listen, @romidesigns.bsky.social, if you want to kill me, be honest about it—kill me. 🤣 I don’t even know if it’ll look right when I’m done! “Stretchy bind-off,” forsooth. Geez! #knitting #pdxknitting 🧶
Sundays are up in the air—some days it’s no problem, other days it’s good luck finding a parking spot let alone a place to sit. There’s always room in the dining room. 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah but we don’t think there will be enough room in the bar.
Five full skeins of yarn sit on a tapestry spread in a cruise stateroom: — a big ball of Regia Virtuoso alleged sock yarn (75/25 wool/nylon, so…?) in a variegated from dove gray through pink to a warm brown; it's alleged because it’s DK, not sock weight yarn — two balls of Noro, no idea what though it looks like Kureyon but it definitely isn’t, in a sunset variegated from soft brown through oranges — a skein of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in variegated dark blue and deep magenta. — a skein of sock weight in whites, blues and grays.
Sun 3-29-26 #SundayAfternoonKnitting is up in the air: Tom’s Restaurant has a fire! So we’ll meet at my house I guess? DM for details. Meantime please enjoy these yarns I was given during the #JoCo26 cruise!! THE BEST CRUISE EVER

A Close to You shawl in a variegated mohair-ish yarn, I don’t know what it’s called, being worked on a 40” circular needle. It’s sitting atop a wooden table. I got the yarn in a swap or something, can’t remember what it was or when I got it. Pattern: Close to You, free on Ravelry https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/close-to-you
Hey guys! Sun 3-22-26 is #SundayAfternoonKnitting without me—I’m on a cruise to Mexico ( #JoCo26! ). But go anyway, there will still be knitting! Meantime please enjoy this Close to You shawl, the sixth or something I’ve knit.
Be sure to hit the MFA. Truly astonishing. I would live there. And the people! And the baseball!! I would move from PDX to Boston immediately if not for deep winter/deep summer wx. Fall/spring? It’s just ❤️❤️❤️
I LOVED Caffe Vittoria!! What a wonderful place. Our must-stop when in Boston—that and Bricco for their bread, omg the best. That whole neighborhood. ❤️

I think we will be. It wasn’t a crash, more of a big THUMP; we were almost stopped and he was pulling at low-ish speed into a hotel, or trying to—obv v distracted. 😆 Amazing how much damage from a bump.
Just got rear-ended by some guy right after the hubs nearly pulled out in front of some other guy. Wrecked our back end & scared me half to death but the other guy seems like an ok person, so …
Darn you all to heck, they’re sold out. 😆
Thank you! I haven’t gotten over how soft the yarn is.
A brown shawl being knit up on 40" circular needles. The yarn is Dunlin, colorway Conker, from Small Bird Workshop, sold only through the Beehive yarn shop in Victoria BC. That shop has been there since 1916! And it's lovely. Pattern: Little Bit of Love by Romi Hill https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-bit-of-love
Sun 3-8-26 it's #SundayAfternoonKnitting 1-3 pm @ Tom's Restaurant SE Division & Chavez in #PDX! We'll be doing #knitting, #crochet, #embroidery & nothing. Meantime please enjoy this shawl I'm knitting in Dunlin yarn from Small Bird Workshop. 🧶 #pdxknitting #pdxcrochet
A bright halo surrounds the nearly full Moon tonight. Banks of cloud are to the left and below the Moon, with a pine tree directly below the Moon’s position in the sky.
45 degree halo around the Moon tonight here, with the faint image of a 22 degree halo closer in, thanks to ice crystals high in the atmosphere #Moon #Halo #astronomy #astrophotography
