spent a few liminal nights before the turn of the solar calendar finally doing something about the bitsy tab i've had open in my browser for over a year and learning/bumbling through the making of this tiny dumb game

i published a tiny new(ish) game, a two-player activation of found objects. this concept has been through a few iterations, the latest adapted from a teaching tool i created for an undergraduate design course this past fall, that i'm now making available to all

thank you again for your work, mark! we are thrilled to have your pieces in taper 15! @taperzine.bsky.social
This Taper issue is themed around the idea of midpoints and intersections, and other associations of the number 15. My second piece in the issue (again, under 2Kb!) is a Tarot Card reading in which the Devil card is repeatedly drawn and increasingly corrupted.

Taper #15 is out. Each issue contains tiny computational poems centered around a theme. The complete code must be under 2Kb. One of my pieces in the issue is an interactive erasure of Shakespeare's Sonnet 15, in which only half the poem can ever be visible at once.

then, i reprised and augmented my wordhack performance at quinn r. keck's opening of +/- 3,919 GRIDS at confloptus in oakland, singing praises to the (digital) handmade web amidst quinn's (physical) handmade web
i was honored to be a featured presenter at wordhack at @wonderville.nyc in august, organized by @toddwords.bsky.social, and sharing a lineup with @cyberdoula.bsky.social and @docmofo.bsky.social
i've recently had a couple of opportunities to speak about my tiny, occasional computational poetry practice. here's a little handmade website i made to aid both talks: coyote.computer/wordhack
