Back from #Atmosphereconf and feeling full with ideas, community, and goose-themed apparel!
Now I'm ready to get to work 😎
Shout-out to @goose.art for this incredible sweater 🙌
A large hall with many seats and people watching a person on stage presenting the final words of Atmosphere Conference 2026.
#ATmosphereConf 2026 is over! It was an absolute blast and I loved volunteering for it and talking to everyone there about all sorts of topics!! I’ll probably make a new post later with more photos and my thoughts and feelings on the conference once I’m back to full energy :P
Photo from a couple days ago on the UBC campus. The view is a long perspective along a concourse that faces the mountains. In the foreground is a concrete plinth and bench. In the middle distance is a field of close-cut grass, flanked by walking paths on either side. In the distance is the Canadian flag and a very far off view of the mountains beyond the water.
Got one more day of activity up here in BC, but getting ready to leave campus today.
HUGE thanks to everyone involved in putting together the #atmosphereconf, UBC for the venue, and the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), whose unceded land we had the opportunity to convene on.
Onward to 2027!

What I am seeing from the people I follow who made it to #AtmosphereConf is the very specific joy of meeting people in person who you already know from talking online, and once you've stopped giggling, making deep and lasting connections.
Community is the moat.

It was wonderful meeting so many amazing people working on the Open Social Web at #AtmosphereConf! Now it’s time to discover beautiful Vancouver…
Heading home from an incredible AtmosphereConf. Such an inspiring and eclectic collection of hackers, community builders, social scientists and more. Thanks to team @npmx.dev for letting me tag along with the group, and thanks @bmann.ca and everyone else involved for the great event.
A recap of #atmosphereconf 2026 as well as an overview of why I'm spending my very limited free time in my life betting on ATProto (and why I think you should, too!)
This isn't just for developers. This is for everyone.

Got home from #AtmosphereConf last night. I think I’ve only previously had those feelings at hyperstimulating music festivals before.
My plan is that @openmusicevent.app will launch fully native to the protocol by the summer. Let’s get building yall.
how many #devs are in #phoenix that are also into or interested in a #atproto meetup?

I had an amazing time at #ATmosphereConf. What an amazing community. Lots of things to think about both technical and beyond. Everyone was so welcoming and respectful.
Thank you to everyone for letting me tag along.
Funding models are not binary. Beyond philanthopy and VC, there are other patterns including mission-locked, co-op, concessionary, community & oss.
Here's the updated "Funding Models Are Not Binary" slide from my Feature/Product/Business talk #ATmosphereConf. Turns out there are even more great examples already in the Atmosphere!
I'm on my way home from Vancouver and have so many feelings. Grateful, a certain amount of loss, and a whole lot of excitement. #AtmosphereConf 🧵
All of the threads off of @ngerakines.me's post here are an amazing manifestation of just one person's experience of #atmosphereconf and a reflection of the immense care and intention that are held by the community we're building together. 💗
Didn't expect to get nerd sniped by @iame.li after my flight, but #ATmosphereConf VOD is now live on the Aether OS @stream.place app.
It supports search, filtering and clipping on desktop.
Use it to download videos of your favorite moments or edit in the Splice app.

Assorted pile of stickers obtained from the Atmosphere Conference
I can’t imagine having a better first conference experience than #AtmosphereConf 2026; it was such a blast!
Now I need to figure where to put all these stickers…
Wrote about my experience at #ATmosphereConf as a first-time attendee -
If you're considering whether you should attend in the future, I hope this blog helps!

waiting to board a plane out of Vancouver, processing a range of feelings I didn’t know would coexist let alone happen the moment the wind down of #atmosphereconf started

last day here, loooong walk with @hilk.eu @gui.do @daffl.xyz @patak.cat 💕
my favorite thing about #atmosphereconf is that it wasnt a technical conference. ppl were there to talk about humanity, not some tech stack
watch @kissane.myatproto.social's "Landslide", or @offline.arushibandi.com's "Rewilding" talks to get a sense
genuinely spiritual manifestos for a wounded web

Welp, #atmosphereconf ruled. So many great people and inspiring projects, I'm so stoked for what's in store for this community. We're building the future!
Y'all are aces ✌️❤️
couldn't make it to #atmosphereconf so i've been cooking at home instead
i'm pretty excited about this one: a way to build real-time collaborative apps with *no dedicated sync infrastructure* — just some static files and atproto
What I hope that people on Bluesky and other ATProto apps learn about the #atmosphereconf developer community is that it as absolutely overflowing with the kindest most idealistic people and that we are just as mad about platforms ruining the internet as you are.
