Sorry we've not been active in Dec. this time of year is always hectic for us, and for myself and @wanderingniamh.bsky.social we've had to make an unplanned trip to California at the beginning of the month.

This isn't burnout for us, we've just really busy.

Hey folks! I'm back after an unplanned hiatus.

There will be some updates for the next few weeks, but I should be ready to get back to it a bit.

Tonight we're gonna push through more of the Story in Ghost of Yotei!

Right, so my plan is to return to stream here tomorrow if I can.

My emotions are a bit all over. So I need to find a normalcy again.

I plan to finish Ghost of Yotei this week. And then I'll be diving into AC: Shadows.

So my mom passed away today...

Two years almost since my other mom passed away.

She'd been fighting an aggressive form of cancer after her diagnosis last month.

She's fighting alongside Doomguy and Pac-man in the Great Arcade above.

If you don't think 14million cubic meters is a lot still, the entire series of eruptions has put out 61 million cubic meters.

All the lava erupted at this volcano in the last year and a half, *SO FAR* would would cover Central Park up to 18 meters deep. 6 stories at 3m tall.

There is currently 14 million cubic meters and growing of magma in the sill under the power plant. That is enough magma to cover the entirety of NYC's Central Park up to 4 meters deep.

And 70-80% of that is gets squeezed out every time it erupts. Most of it within the first 24 hours.

Its bonkers to me looking at the GPS uplift under the Blue Lagoon/Svartsengi Power station right now. Every time the volcano nearby erupts, the ground drops over 30 cm, and as it refills, it gains another 5 cm that it can rise.

Watching the volcanic activity in the Reykjanes: We are potentially hours or days away from the next phase of the Sundhnúksgígar eruptions. The last 24 hours has seen a lot of earthquakes that look like harmonic tremors.

Either the dike and sill are expanding, or an eruption is soon.

I swear to god... I'm not certain if it was mansplaining or not, but an architect who speaks 8 languages doesn't mean he knows how languages evolve and change.

By his argument, he might think English is a French language. Its not. Just because you see similarity doesn't mean anything...

Nothing quite like somebody on the internet telling me, a linguist, how langauges work because he speaks 8 langauges.
