China’s new scientist visa is a ‘serious bid’ for the world’s top talent The country is easing migration for young researchers to boost its competitiveness in artificial intelligence, robotics and new materials.

'China has introduced a visa that will allow young foreign researchers in STEM to move there without having to secure a job first.
Before the introduction of the K visa, most foreign STEM researchers hoping to move to China had to find a job in advance and then apply for a work visa.'

Incredible study lead by @nguyenlab.bsky.social showing the potential of an in vivo system capable of robustly tracing the lineages of individual cells as they propagate in a #PDX tumour!

Very happy to have been able to contribute to this herculean effort, and can't wait to see what comes next!

Couldn't agree more! Dismantling the NIH is an utter travesty

To biomedical scientists in the rest of the world, it sends a clear message: Your talents are not wanted here.

Losing the ability to attract the best and the brightest will be the death of American scientific exceptionalism
