Are any other news outlets going to cover this? Still only seen one local paper do so (with an interesting angle on why this is dangerous) northwestbylines.co.uk/news/educati...
Got something to say about censorship, democracy and it's links with information literacy (how can you make balanced judgements about information you find if you legally can't find it?) WE ARE HERE FOR THIS journals.cilip.org.uk/jil/announce...
"Mummy, why DOES the sun stay up?"
Nothing makes you feel more thick than a six year old at seven in the morning.
it's ten years ago now but I blogged throughout my Chartership jessdoeschartership.wordpress.com if that's a useful share?
oh the first thing I'm doing this weekend is getting a bin and some spoons
My MA dissertation was on team structures in FE college libraries, so very different again! (I love the summer reading challenge as a parent, but urg it must be an administrative nightmare)

I need example dissertation titles For A Thing - to make this FUN and HUMAN - what was your Undergraduate Dissertation? Mine was on the Luddite Rising in West Yorkshire in 1812 and the use of medical professionals as informants.
Would you like to come and work in my team? Feel free to get in touch to chat about the role.
I feel like I need a OA Scholarly Publishing Beefs and Gripes Network. Does one already exist I don't know about?

Now I've just got to get her down a Mine and her full Yorkshire Childhood will be Unlocked
I went to both Bradford Industrial Museum AND Cliffe Castle this half term and they were both banging. My little one had to listen to me bang on about working conditions and child labour laws that funded the extravagance but START THEM WHILST THEY'RE YOUNG
The image is a white background with gold triangles in three corners, the bottom right corner has the logo for the Information Literacy Award. The logo is all text in gold with the letters iLA in a large font with a thin line below it. Underneath this line it says Information Literacy Award in block capital letters. The black text on the white background says "Winning the Information Literacy Award has been a significant highlight in my professional career. On a personal level, the award has given me visibility within the sector, strengthened my confidence, and provided a powerful reminder of the difference collective work can make." Rebecca Mogg, Library Education Lead, Cardiff University (Winner in 2025).
There’s just a few days to make your nomination for the 2026 Information Literacy Award.
Nomination for the #infolit award close on Monday 16 Feb (17:00 GMT). Don’t forget - individuals & teams can self-nominate or nominate others. Nominate via our website. buff.ly/RC43zzP
HIVE MIND #infolit looking for quippy quips and examples of what information literacy isn't (or what some might think IL is, but it's a bit more complicated than that) for a thing. Think stuff like "I'm Information Literate because I know how to use a database" (How? Why? What do you do next?)
