Experimented with Elite Enemies. Elite enemies are much tougher than other enemies in the locale and might require the player to return at a further point in the game to defeat but will give items for higher tier crafting recipes.

Thank you!
With finishing the gem upgrade system, I am now making more play test content - starting with making these shrub guys as floor 1 enemies.

Gem Sockets Pt2: Gem Mounting works. You will be able to configure gems to your preference. You may reset sockets at will, but gems are discarded. Gem configurations will transfer between weapon upgrades.

An extremely early preview of one of the last major systems in #StarspireHunters: Gem Stones. Gem Stones can be mounted to weapons via sockets - giving them a slight edge on the battlefield.

Spent the week building the 'upgrade tree' for the Warrior class. It is a simple tech tree where upgrades are straight forward, but minor customization can still be achieved. Tomorrow, I can focus on building more nodes and create a test tree.

An example of what the current crafting-expedition loop could be!

Have been working on reworking the crafting stations in Starspire Hunters. The philosophy behind my game is streamlining, and minimal explanation - and this rework is attempting to fulfill this.

Binder’s Tower lives on as Starspire Hunters; a unique ARPG + Incremental blend.
This is a preview of the Warrior (1 of 2 classes), focused on tanking and crowd control!
Looking for 1–2 playtesters who enjoy giving strong, thoughtful feedback. Reach out!

Hello. It's been a while since I've posted here. A lot has changed since then.. and I believe that this project might have got a second chance. More on this later.

Yes! at least a part of it - a bit in the presentation and in the combat. Thanks for checking it out!
Finally got around to implementing an official combat loop before taking a quick detour to do Mech Jam VI. Also, I have my first enemies implemented - also you can air attack now :-)

Thanks, man! I have a bunch more progress, but I am going to get some more done before I post again. You'll have a demo, hopefully by the end of the year or early next.
Polishing the crafting system in Binder's Tower—one of the first systems I built. It's in a better state now, but still needs work. Next up: refining enemies and pushing toward a prototype demo.

This week, I worked on implementing an item hot bar and extending drag n drop system to the inventory menu.

Spent the last month building a new archetype and reworking the whole system! You’ll now equip a swappable secondary class (inspired by Skul) to create synergies—since you only get 4 active abilities (intended for comfortable controller play).

It's been a while since I've posted.
I've been working hard implementing game play for another archetype. I might have also gone a bit overboard, and committed a bit of scope creep - it will be worth it, I swear! Video update soon..

I think I've decided to go with the more convenient route and give abilities when you advance a skill. Seems to fall in more in suit with my goal when it comes to the player character, which is to focus on a custom build that suits their play style.
I'm torn between having a maplestory style ability system where abilities are available after unlocking a class vs a WoW/Guildwars system where the player purchases abilities from a trainer.. What would you prefer? More "realism" or convenience?

Finished the basis of questing in Binder's Tower. There are four kinds of quests - main line quests, side quests, town tasks, and den beast hunts. To progress in Binder's Tower, you will complete Main Line tasks - however, the rest is optional!

Finished the basic functionality for the abilities system of Binder's Tower.
The abilities system works in the vein of classic MMOs; however, the number of abilities that you can mount at any given time is based on the number of sockets on your equipped weapon!
