I was never a fan of the way he was drawn to look in LOK. The button-nose was particularly silly to me. Hope this does him justice.

Artistic Process in a nutshell.

Sokka stands in the cordors of the temple of the avatar on present island, orange light streaming behind him as he looks upon the shadows of what can only be a demon (or maybe it is a reflection) stalking him beyond the paper screens, its head tilted, eyes trailing red flames. Two almost identical panels. First: In the foreground, Sokka holds his cup with two hands with a haunted expression on his face. "He won't tell me," he said. The thought bubble over his head shows that he's thinking of the blur spirit, who's frowning. Blurred out in the background is Zuko/Lee, pouring tea and looking at him. "Lol" Katara says off screen. The second panel is identical, except this time, Sokka's blurred out and the focus is on Zuko, who looks panicked and stressed out, sweating. The tea he's pouring is overflowing onto the table and the patron raises their hand to stop him.
