Oh, man, haha. Too many great ones! To name a few faves, in no particular order: Inception… Edge of Tomorrow… BTTF… anything John Carpenter (love me some 80s synth)… the MIBs… National Treasure… The One… The Bourne Identity… Minority Report… and lately I’ve been really hooked on Predator: Badlands.

I can do OSTs, which help me channel vibes when working on whatever particular genre sequence. But lyrics are typically a no go, super distracting.

Of course, and I hope you get someone’s attention!

Do the homework, make sure you send the right genre query to the right person. Say why wanna be rep’d by ‘em (fan of their specific work/roster). Never send draft, only title, genre, comps, & logline (loglines aren’t legal issue). Mention wins/awards. Keep it short. “2-3 lines, logline, thanks, bye”

It SHOULD be considered a lot, yes. Think I’ve gotten it four or five times. Feels like I’m on some kinda list, haha

There are tons here, myself included, who will gladly read you! Art is supposed to be hard. That’s what makes it worth it.

Years of extra rewrites, then finally took wife’s advice: After cards REALLY outline. Full script, detailed scene summs, no dialogue. Easier to adjust. Once happy, draft. You’re 2-3 drafts ahead of the pack now. Get super trusted read. 2nd draft. Send to several for notes. 3rd (& prob final!) draft.
