Lynford Arboretum this morning 10am to 12.30pm 4 Hawfinch including one showing well at the pond in the “tunnel”.

Also 2+ Firecrest 6 Crossbill fem Brambling 170+Fieldfare 60+ Redwing.

Cavenham this morning NFY Blackcap Sand Martin (7) Kingfisher (2) and Raven.

Also Curlew Redshank Green Sand and Oystercatcher as well as all the usual stuff.

Seems to be a movement of winter thrushes in the breaks lots seen yesterday and today around Risbygate/Tuddenham/Cavenham

Some late news from yesterday. A herd of Whooper Swans and 3 Bewicks Swans (1juv) in the Suffolk fens between Kenny Hill and Shippea Hill at TL6553 8239 showing well from the farm track.

Pt2 the big shear count are my own totals with many more missed. The main action was between 2-4pm. The petrels and the Sabs were before 9am.
