The study further shows that:
• ARVCF is a component of endothelial adherens junctions
• ARVCF stabilizes endothelial cell-cell junctions
• ARVCF binds to a separate pool of VE-cadherin that is unbound from p120-catenin

For those interested in endothelial junctions: our latest paper is out in iScience, and it includes a mass spectrometry based VE-cadherin interactome!

Turns out that there are many more molecular intractions going on than just with the catenins…

The article also includes a full phosphoproteomic dataset, provided as open-source data, mapping downstream signaling of the GNAQ p.R183Q mutation in endothelial cells. www.ebi.ac.uk/pride/archiv...

The study shows:
• How the Gαq-R183Q mutation in endothelial cells disrupts normal signaling, impairing cell migration and angiogenic sprouting
• That DSCR1.4 is a key mediator of these effects
• That inhibition of Calcineurin with Tacrolimus or depletion of DSCR1.4 can restore endothelial function

Very pleased with our newest publication! In this study, we identify the Calcineurin-NFAT-DSCR1.4 signaling pathway as a druggable driver of capillary malformations caused by the GNAQ p.R183Q mutation, which is associated with port-wine stains and Sturge-Weber syndrome.
