Denn gerade in aktuellen Rentenreformdebatten sollten Ungleichheiten zwischen Geschlechtern mitgedacht werden – insbesondere mit Blick auf Sorgearbeit und Erwerbsverläufe.

Big milestone - my first citation! 🎉
The paper shows how economic deprivation (unemployment + financial dissatisfaction) increases risk of #IPV in Germany. Good to see we are advancing this important research in Germany but we need more and better data to do more than just scratch the surface
How can policy address #intimatepartnerviolence and why do we need better data? 💡

Trump minimizes domestic abuse during a talk at the Museum of the Bible: "Things that take place in the home, they call crime ... If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say this was a crime, see?"
💫Very happy to share that my first single-authored paper has been published in @sfjournal.bsky.social. I suggest to combine Life Course Feature Selection with Ñopo decomposition to disentangle which life-course events drive gender inequalities such as Gender Pension Gaps doi.org/10.1093/sf/s...

We use Eurobarometer data to explore how strongly people across the EU reject the “no means yes” rape myth.
Gender gaps persist, but shrink with higher gender equality and “only yes means yes” laws.

This has been a great collaboration on an issue we know far too little about - thanks to my co-authors for their hard work and dedication!
⚠️ Limitations:
➖ We capture only physical IPV
➖ Only includes women who managed to separate
💡 Policy implication: Support maternal employment & childcare access to reduce IPV risk before and during separation, particularly in former West Germany
👉🏼 Higher HH income reduces stress and conflict in partnerships
👉🏼 Economic dependence traps women longer in unsafe relationships—and violent dynamics tend to build up over time
🚨 My very first paper (with @stefaniamolina.bsky.social and Michaela Kreyenfeld) is out in #PLOSONE!
🔎 Key takeaway: Mothers who are unemployed and low-educated are at highest risk.
