Then again our lord and saviour Daffy Duck makes an appearance so all is forgiven.

Just saw the Coyote va ACME trailer... Now realising how great it would have been if Coyote had hired Jimmy McGill as lawyer, played by Bob Odenkirk obvs.
Slab of Ikea detritus with paint on it. It is going to be a diorama base.
Working on a base I can use to photograph 1/72 taxying aircraft on. I'm thinking Canberras and Magisters for instance...
Sounds like fun actually, making things a little crooked on purpose.

Just a test of different textures and paints
I heard you all like fake dirt!
Just some testingโฆ
Bottom: VMS brown earth (not really convinced yet the stones fall off easily)
Middle: sand from a road outside
Top: sifted flower earth (should be nice under vegetation)
Also new: Kursk summer earth in my usual mix of dark and fresh mud
The paint under it? Oof, too bad -- but knowing your work it will turn out great anyway ๐

Hmmmm...
*scribbles down in notes*
Ah I see, thank you! Seems like wizardry to me tbh.
And us it already painted?
Is the photo rotated? So VMS doesn't really work? (Tut tut Night Shift) The combination of the middle and left looks amazingly realistic. What glue do you use?
Magnificent!! You can almost hear the oars hitting the water.
That's not modelling, that's surgery!

The paint effect totally works, very nice! On Soviet paint; there was undoubtedly a poisonous ingredient in it which made it red...
Thank you -- can't beat your hangar!
Thank you Twai! Somehow your comment only turned up now.
Cheers Mark!
Good point -- lingering too long on a subject can get tedious. Also yes the rigging aaaargh!

Cutaway of a 1/72 model of a MikroMir/ AMP Canberra TT.18.
One more.
Thank you Paul!
Thank you MC! There is sun yes. Near de bollenvelden.
Thank you Nellkyn! Much appreciated ๐
Hmm. Taking pics in sunlight means you notice stuff you forgot to do. Which adds to the to do list ๐

The 1/72 Canberra TT.18 is getting ever nearer to completion; all needed now is the last few main gear doors and a couple of antennae. Still the sun was out and I couldn't resist taking a couple of pics in natural light before the final touches... #histscalemodels #scalemodels
