Purple cable & rib Bed & Breakfast pullover on the left, "in progress" back of Mork pullover at top right, and Vancouver Fog mitts on bottom right
"But in purple, I'm stunning!" Combining a few of my favorite things... #B5 #cashmere #purple #Colourmart #ShowMeYourKnits #knit🧶
On the left, the front of a cornflower blue, hip-length, v-neck handknit vest with allover cables on a dressform, closed by single pearl type button. Right photo shows back of that vest with the cables ending higher at the sides, longer in the center - creating a V shape & providing more width at the hips
One of my fav cable knits is my design in Tintagel Farms' TinSilk silk/mohair from 2011 Rhinebeck - this yarn just glows!

February Lady Sweater in soft blue-ish greenwith garter stitch yoke and gull lace body - left sleeve still on knitting needles, against a cream mat with dark pink background. Knit with Colormart cashmere yarns marled using 1 strand of 3/13 NM in color Baltic (yarn seen above and right of neck opening) and 4 strands of 2/28 NM in color Misty Cliff (yarn to left). Swatch is peeking down into picture at top center.
Trying to get to A) on February Lady Sweater. Near 2nd 1/2 of second sleeve! Plan to add shawl collar, following guidance in FLS wiki on Rav. Would love to wear this once while it is still Worsted Cashmere weather?!
Avoiding Choice B - 1 more WIP to finish before a new start. #knitsky 🧶
Four socks: Upper Left: Grey textured sox on gold velvet, Upper Right: blue gridiron sox worn against purple carpet with strong shadows Lower Left: variegated soft purple ribbed sox on crossed feet against flowered upholstry, Lower Right: cobalt blue sock on the right foot, on a wood table.
#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 socks? Not my favorite, but I've knit a few pair, always a single color, often with texture. Or very basic tube socks for DH. Socks for me are generally "bed socks", not intended for wearing in shoes.
Mad props to anyone doing SockMadness!!
Plum + Sienna would be my first choice. Plum + Crush would be second choice. But depending on how the colors are used in short rows....??
High scoop-neck sweater in pale green variegated yarn with three vertical cables at center front, shown on a vintage dress model
Green week #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶💚? My Scottish Spring sweater is perfectly on topic, with yarn from GingerTwist Studio purchased on our honeymoon, a riff on the Birch Bark pattern.
handknit lace with stripes in navy, aqua, dark teal and cobalt; downward wedge at enter of middle aqua strip is mended
This week I mended a cashmere lace pullover that I knit last year. It appears I am rather hard on all-over lace, particularly in fine weight yarn - I catch it on everything.
Swatching with a brand new to me yarn to discover what it likes to do. It is an unpopular activity with many knitters, but I love knitting with no expectation, just knitting several inches to see what happens, and then trying a stitch pattern.
Handknit cowl with graduated sizesn of lacy waves in an abalone-shell colored yarn - pale tones of blue, purple, pink and green - wrapped around a dressmaker form's neck. Background wall and fabric of dressmaker form are both golden cream; behind the gold-tone cap on dressmaker form is a photo with sepia tones in an oval mat. Pattern is Song of the Sea by Louise Zass-Bangham.
#ShowMeYourKnits prompt is grey? I find grey dull, boring & otherwise undesirable to wear or knit - for *me*.
linktr.ee/sevensistersarts Astrid 🧶in "Abalone" is as close to grey as I get: at a distance it looks grey, but it has all the iridescent colors of abalone 😍

I'm an oppportunistic knitter - I knit whenever I have the opportunity!
I do love knitting in the morning quiet but that's been challenging recently due to Long COVID, and shorter, grey days of winter. Another reason to be happy about spring!
There has been a lot of thinking, calculating, frogging and reuniting on this. Have decided I really don't like knitting stripes in the round, but have persevered because I can't stop petting the swatch #knitting
Against a light background, a sweater with light aqua, teal and cobalt stripes in horseshoe lace separated by narrow bands of dark navy stockinette. Sleeve being knit in the round and short rows of sleeve cap just completed and underarm stitches added to the row. Purple stitch marker at shoulder seam, orange stitch marker at end of first / top row of sleeve cap and teal stitch marker where sleeve cap meets underarm stitches. Pattern is Myrtle by Kate Davies Designs Yarn is ColourMart Cashmere 3/28NM Heavy Lace Weight
#ShowMeYourKnits wants WIPs and it is #WIPWednesday?
This finally happened today - second sleeve cap complete, w/ correct number of stitches & rows to match first sleeve. Sweater started 09/2025, has several pattern mods. Colourmart cashmere 🧶 will bloom & change gauge when washed; deets in Alt.
Close up of green stems and downward facing white hellebores with pointed white sepals with fuchsia speckles near the center of the blossom with pale yellow anthers, stamens and pistils ringed by tiny green petals at the center. A grey fence, blue sky and a tree trunk with branches in the background
Hellebores in my garden - it always amazes me that something that blooms this time of year is so big and beautiful!
The book was published quite a while ago, and I really don't knit for babies. Advanced pattern search on Ravelry? Oh - Ravelry shows used books available for cost of shipping?
I usually put details in the Alt Text; the Boys cardigans were all the Garter Stitch Cardigan by Melanie Falick and Kristin Nicholas
#ShowMeYourKnits babyknits part 2, for the baby sister to youngest Boy that came along a bit later. Cannot add alt text to this one?! Pattern is Hyphen by Lisa Chemery and 🧶 is ColourMart Extra Fine Merino 15/44NM DK Weight.
Three baby cardigans - blue with green trim & buttons in the back, green with blue buttons in the middle, and in front, green and blue stripes with green and blue buttons. Pattern: Garter Stitch Cardigan by Melanie Falick and Kristin Nicholas Yarn: Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Merino
Before the next #showmeyourknits prompt drops, lemme circle back to the #babyknits! First up is "Boys, Boys, Boys" the solids for a pair of twins and striped for their oh-so-slighly younger cousin.
Three views of a colorwork cowl, a bright fuchsia pattern atop a dark blue and purple variegated yarn. Pattern: Dissent Cowl (knit) by Carissa Browning Yarns: Blue Moon Fiber Arts BFL Fingering, Orchid Queen (held double) and Malabrigo Yarn Mecha, 247 Whales Road
Only one project to share for the colorwork #ShowMeYourKnits, a bit of pandemic stash 🧶 knitting from 2020, modeled by Mathilde. Details in AltText.
Yes, it was. Sadly it is no more, the bloody m*ths got it (and several other sweaters) a few years ago. 😫😢 Now my knits are stored much more securely
Female upper torso and arm wearing a scoop neck sweater with 2x2 rib edge finishes in variegated green / dark green / violet yarn. Pattern: On a Whim (CustomFit) by Amy Herzog. Yarn is Briar Rose Fibers' Glory Days - 100% BFL, DK weight and sadly, discontinued.
Continuing #showyourknits in green, this is sweater I love to wear on 3/17 when it is cold enough, but not this year. I think of the glorious 🧶color as March Violets.
Thank you! I'm putting project details in the Alt description - but it is the February Lady Sweater by Pamela Wynne
February Lady Sweater: garter yoke with 3 buttons, and gull lace body and sleeves, knit in pale green Colourmart 1/4NM Fine DK slubby soft spun cashmere over a cream camisole.
Green is one of my favorite colors but I've not knit a lot of green, and already shared some. Digging deep for this week's #showmeyourknits in soft green cashmere 🧶 #knitting #knitsky
#ShowMeYourKnits this project used the largest size needle I've ever knit with, a US 17 - a very CHONKY knit 🧶!
Starry Light by Laura Nelkin
Loved the FO so much I've made two. Have another string of LEDs to make a third one.
Handknit mesh lace cowl in jewel tones, around the neck of beige dress form. Malabrigo Yarn Caracol, in Aniversario
#ShowMeYourKnits is CHONKY knits 🧶?
Not my favorite weight, but I have knit a few projects with Super Bulky yarns including this cowl on US13 needles.
Pair of variegated lavender hand knit socks laying on a cream blocking mat with mauve-rose background. Pattern: Tesserae Sock by Anne Hanson. Yarn: Sundara Yarn Italian Fingering Merino Cashmere
#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 🧦🧦 Sock are about my least favorite knit. Last fall finally made myself a pretty & soft (cash/merino!) pair for lounging about the house. Love them but don't expect to knit more anytime soon.
Hand knitted vest with allover lace pattern in blue/green/purple variegated yarn; view of front with scoop neck on the left, back view on the right
#showmeyourknits lace week part 2: I adore using lace in garments, more wearable than shawls for me. This is Lace Vest by Louisa Harding, 🧶 is Whisper by the incomparable Briar Rose Fibers, modeled by Mathilde.
Left side: pale blue-green knitted lace shawl draped over a chair on a wood floor; the lace is has strong repeating vertical curves, like a peacock feather. Right side: same pale blue-green lace shawl draped over upper arm & shoulder,
#showmeyourknits lace week? I love #knitting lace, have a lot of shawls & scarves. Love Fan & Feather and variations: this is one of my favorite. Ostrich Plumes by Anne Hanson, 🧶 is DyeForYarn Lace Tussah Silk - love the glow and liquid cascades in this combo!
“DOGE as a National Cybersecurity Attack” essay by Bruce Schneier & Davi Ottenheimer, is a must-read: it succinctly frames in plain English how recent events have resulted in new vulnerabilities that are national security risks.

ball of tweedy blurple handspun yarn with violet and blue slubs, a mitten completed except for the thumb (stitches on yellow embroidery thread with orange stitch marker), and a set of double-pointed needles with stitches cast on one needle, sitting on top of a printed pattern, on a pink/purple background.
#ShowMeYourKnits This is 2024's NYECO, Arched Gusset Mittens from @purlsoho.bsky.social worked in lovely, squishy merino/silk handspun 🧶 from SwitchKnits Etsy. Working second mitt as a palete cleanser before starting second sleeve on my Myrtle pullover. Hoping to wear these very soon!
