Man oh man, working a 9-5 job and writing doesn't go hand in hand 🤣

Now, I also got a nice email from Jesse at #writingbattle with a three picture prompt. It's tempting! Let me know what would u write!

Forgot to update it yesterday. But my favourite quote is this:

I feel more casual and cosy here tbh than on Instagram (I have no clue how to function there lol) or god forbid tiktok 😂 At least it's easy to spam my book and movie related thoughts in my own comments 🤣🤣

Suffice to say, I have emotions and opinions about #Eternity lmao. At this point, I might just write a review for my blog rather than spam endlessly here. But I would 10/10 recommend watching it!

Bro, you spent 67 YEARS!! - a whole lifetime! - stuck in the past; waiting. You're telling me that in that whole time, you haven't moved on? That you haven't found anything more worthy to live (well, after-live) in all that time? That was another tragedy of this movie tbh.

Also, the concept of pitting Luke and Larry against each other. I mean, I get why the competitiveness, but the fact that
"I've waited 67 years for you!" has more 'romantic' value in the movie than "I've been with you for 65 years" was heartbreaking. I get why they did it that way, but still.

I feel like the general premise of the afterlife could easily be made into like, a dystopian, depressing movie about people trying to escape their chosen 'heaven' after realising they're trapped there for 'eternity'. Like proper 'hidden-rebelion' stuff 🤣

I felt so bad for Larry in that moment - as if 65 years of marriage, through good and bad, could be so easily dismissed by 'the first love'. But tbh Joan has been overwhelmed and hounded to make a choice in 7 DAYS!!! from the moment she died. Can't blame her for being a mess. It's biblically cruel.

SPOILERS
The whole movie I was rooting for Larry, and I cried when Joan even considered Luke. I mean, I get why - he was her first husband, but I couldn't imagine being with someone from the past. I would have changed too much to be the same person Luke had waited for. It wouldn't have worked.

Just finished watching #Eternity with Elisabeth Olsen, Miles Teller and Callum Turner - and I've gotta say it made me emotional (and also confronted me with the worst possible afterlife option lmao) at some points. -- SPOILERS IN THE COMMENTS.

I've been looking at Bride, too! Haven't bought it yet - my TBR pile is too big anyhow - but it's been taunting me! It pops up as an ad, or at my fav bookstore and now even on bluesky 😂💙 Hope it's good!

Yes! And let's be realistic, in this economy a room big enough for two men to have a fight in + bathroom + kitchenette that is just given to you is not bad at all 🤣🤣🤣

I loved how they poked fun at him even in his own eternity in the mountains 😂
"I died in war."
"Oh, cool! Which one? First or the second?"
"Uhh... Korean..."

Sorry for bringing back old threads, but I just watched that movie and omg I am also horrified by the prospect of choosing ONE eternity for... Eternity. Tbh I'd want to have Anna's job and become an AC and be forever undecided 🤣 at least that way you still have an unknown future...

Holy moly, keeping up with how different social media platforms work is a task and a half. I'm not sure if I have the energy to do any writing after wrangling Instagram 😂

Hi! I'm relatively new here and trying to get back into the writing groove after 10+ years of just... getting sucked into boring, real life.

I'm going for a short story #cozyfantasy #romantasy piece, as a warm-up and an introduction to a bigger story I have in mind! Wrote 3844 words so far!

A quote from the draft I'm writing: “Em!” I answer the phone, trying not to sound like a crazy old lady who’s been crying and singing sad songs in her car a moment before. “How are things going, sweetheart?”
“Please don’t call me that,” she sounds tired and stressed. Not at all how a future bride should be! I bit back a sob that threatens to make its way out of my throat. It’s all my fault, as always.

For example I found out about the writing sprints from Chris Fox and his write a book in 21 days challenge; and then found a nice discord bot for it.
And I like how Alyssa Matesic edits her subscriber's manuscripts. Patrick Walsh also has nice content around it!

I'm not sure about booktubers, but there are plenty of editors and publishers on YT that have good advice. I'm still on a binge as I'm fooling around with writing my own short story, and I found their advice improving my style.

That's such a cool concept!

A screenshot with the fragment of a book, Empire of the Vampire. “‘Scared of heights, Peasant?’ Aaron sneered.
“I glanced at the blond lad, my grip tightening. ‘Leave off, de Coste.’
“‘You cling to that railing like to your mother’s tits.’
“‘I’m actually picturing your mama’s tits. Though I’m told you favor your sister’s?’

That moment when you get immersed in the serious, beautiful description of the monastery and the landscape, and then you're reminded that your MC is still just a kid... And Greyhand had to keep those two in line for weeks on end. RIP my guy, RIP.

Hazel! Come back in the future and tell me
- who finished the book first? You or your bestie! And don’t you dare lie!
- how was your reading experience different?
- are you going to go through the rest of the series?

My best friend saw me disappointed, and the mad woman she is, she bought me the book in English. So, since she loves vampires too, I bought her the Polish version of the book. And we’re reading it together. So, the total spent is actually 69 PLN - $18,63

How could I not pick this one up at a second-hand store? And then they emailed to say they don’t have it anymore, and they’ll refund me for the book and the shipping.
I should have spent less money, right?

Own my own bookshop ☕🖤 Could make it into a coffee spot too - and curate it how I see fit.

Oh no, I know the feeling when the character you created super cool ends up evolving into... A moron. And then you're left there, looking at all your notes, like a parent looking at a child, thinking 'wtf did I do wrong' 🤣 Props to Josh & Bobby for not disappointing their parent.
