Rushcutters Bay Park in Sydney 🇦🇺 for a 30-minute grass run 🥵 stressy felt fine, I think! My mind likes to make up odd feelings.

3-week trip to Australia has started!
Unfortunately I’ve got a minor posterior fibula stress “response” so my dream of a post-arrival run round Sydney Harbour is cancelled, will try a run on grass around a local park instead. Needs to heal before London in just over 4 weeks 😬
I was bitten by a dog out #running last night. I’m not blaming the owner but taking responsibility; I thought I had slowed down enough & said “excuse me” with enough notice, but still startled the female owner and the dogs (on leads). Women feel unsafe enough & I could have done more to warn them.
It would genuinely mean that we can fully renovate, including that all-important extra storage space for all of my running shoes... 🙏
I know we're going through the process of remortgaging, but it's really not too late if you wanted to pay our mortgage off in full! We have until the end of June. Thanks in advance and anticipation.
Well done!! 👏🏼
Papped on the seafront in the middle of my marathon session.
60 mins @ marathon pace (3:29/km).
Dodging traffic, roadworks, and people, decided just to run on the road! Very patient drivers for once #running strava.app.link/tAtD53BAv1b
It was! Though I’m not sure if it was a crosswind, headwind, tailwind… I was being blown around all over the place!
Hope you were happy with your result
Brighton Half Marathon 2026
69:46 - 9th - 1st MV40 - PB
Horrible conditions in the swirly wind and rain, largely ran solo. Probably a sub-69 effort but I’ll have another go in three weeks time!

Included 60 mins at target marathon pace. First time I’ve thought this might be achievable. 9 weeks to go!

Fantastic, well done!!
And a cheeky notch up on the V02 max… 😑
This one was brutal in the wind and rain. Hoping that marathon pace feels easy now on a calm, sunny day!
10 weeks to go… #LondonMarathon2026

Yeah I’m weighing in daily but taking the moving average now, as you say.
As long as I’m +\- 0.5kg each day then I’m usually on track, as long as the next day picks up after a low one!
Pizza is my go-to at the moment!! 1,000 calories in one simple meal 😆
Weighing myself every day at the moment while tracking my food intake and my nutrition. Could I really have lost a whole kilo yesterday?! I ran about 31km, 11k of that fast, the rest easy. Madness.

Marathon session: 40 mins easy, 40 mins at target marathon pace (3:28/km), 10 mins CD.
Honestly can’t imagine running that pace for 42.2km, but that’s why the #marathon is hard!

👊🏼 fantastic, well done. That’s amazing and you should be very proud of yourself!
#Chichester10k on Sunday. Started well with a 15:30 first 5k, but couldn’t hold it! Finished in 31:35 for my 2nd fastest 10k, and held on to 🥈 in the British Masters 10k Championships for V40.
I wasn’t really ready to go for sub-31, but that remains a goal for 2026, after the marathon!

Coach: “run very light and off-road” 🫡
Tight calf was bothering me so being extra cautious today, as per instructed.
My coach is a legend and does it all voluntarily. His training has got me to sub-15 5k, 31:24 10k, and a sub-70 half marathon, so there’s no arguing with his methods! #running
#LondonMarathon training was a bit of a false start last week with niggles & calf tightness, but long run yesterday was positive. Hoping for a marathon pace session on Thursday, aiming for 40 mins at 3:25/km 😬 let’s go!
Grateful for the XT training option this morning! 40 mins in Z2. Bloomin’ boring but stayed dry! 🌧️
Which marathon are you doing?
Congratulations!
My enthusiasm for a work trip is purely based on whether it's a good place for running or not! And yes, most of my luggage is running gear, specifically as much of my shoe rotation as I can get away with!
#LondonMarathon training plan starts this week! I'm coming off an injury so I won't be jumping straight into a 100km week, but thankful for the option of the cross trainer!
Anyone else training for London in April?
I'm excited but also nervous about picking up yet another injury.

Reading on the sofa HR gone from 44 to 60, low HRV, struggled running up hills today. Body fighting something.
A couple of rest days coming up next week, struggle through until then!
Run at 4:55 pace and smash it!!
Didn’t run for two weeks. Back pain and sciatica. I’ve managed to run the last three days & though there’s discomfort, it feels SO GOOD to be #running again.
My new advice for runners: proactively go to a #Chiropractor & #Physio BEFORE injuries!
