My "privilege" as an uninsured American with no access to healthcare? I understand the benefits of preventative medicine. My point is people (mostly elderly) are dying because they can't afford necessary medications. I've lost 38lbs and lowered my A1c the hard way because I couldn't afford meds.

Seriously ill people are going without insulin, heart meds, blood pressure meds, and mental health prescriptions. I just can't bring myself to care about bougie weight loss. They can eat less and exercise, like the rest of us who couldn't afford diet drugs to begin with.
