A wee note for Keir Starmer:-
Sir Walter Scott wrote the famous line, "Oh, what a tangled web we weave, / When first we practice to deceive!". It appeared in his 1808 epic poem, Marmion: A Tale of Flodden Field. The quote implies that lies and dishonesty create complicated, uncontrollable problems.

Did you know that Scotland is the only country in Europe to reverse child poverty over the last 16 years?

Did you know that Scotland is the only country in Europe to reverse child poverty over the last 16 years?

Hmm. SNP in power for 17 years, and Scotland the only country in Europe to reduce child poverty over the last 16 years. I wonder if the two things could possibly be connected? #Scotland #SNP1SGP2

Did you realise that Scotland manages nearly 1/3 of the UK’s landmass but only receives an 8% share of Westminster’s transport spending. You can't maintain 32% of the land on 8% of the budget. It’s a funding model that ignores geography and punishes our infrastructure.

Just a reminder that loons on both sides are bombing Nuclear power plants with innocent people within the immediate falloot
Radiation doesn't respect boundaries

This is state terrorism

Another reminder that Starmer wants to dot Scotland with Nuclear Power Stations

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I don’t know how accurate or credible this data is, but it’s good that someone is at least trying to identify how best to vote in each Region in order to return the maximum Indy MSPs

If only we had Carol Vorderman to help with this, as she did in 2024 when she advised on how best to dump Tories 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A collective of design agencies from Scotland’s creative industries scene has played a central role in the Royal Bank of Scotland’s pioneering “The People’s Money” bank notes, with the first in the ‘Fabric of Nature’ series being the £5 note released in 2016 and culminating with the £20 note in 2020. Design consultancy Nile, O Street, Stuco Design and Timorous Beasties are the main agencies to have supported the creative design process for Royal Bank of Scotland, while almost 30 different designers have been involved to date. Timorous Beasties were tasked with illustrating elements of the Scottish natural world; Otters, mackerel, red squirrels and, of course, midgies.

Thomas Ross KC is no fan of the SNP, but he left the Scottish Tories and Scottish Labour without a name this morning when he exposed their attacks on the Lord Advocate as empty political game playing, calling them disgraceful. This is worth listening to right to the end.

Women carry self-defence weapons to be as safe as possible.
Told to never be alone.
Cover your drink.
Take a photo of your taxi driver.
Let someone know where you are.
Keys between fingers.
Stay on the phone to someone.
Pepper spray.
Why are we not telling the men not to attack women or girls?

Why buying Scottish food is a quiet vote for the country’s future MORE than 80 of Scots say where their food comes from matters to them, but fewer than half say they are given enough information about where it is…

'We know the people producing Scotland’s food and drink do a solid job of delivering traceable high-quality items. From farmers to food scientists, trading standards [ @fsscot.bsky.social] and beyond, we have a system which works hard to keep us safe'

Big respect and congratulations to Hollie Davidson, the first ever female referee in the six nations. She's had a brilliant game and hopefully she'll be called on for many more six nations games.
