Unavoidable to use Office I guess, but at least I can attempt to use a different email app!

The addition (helpfully replacing things I might actually use) of Microsoft Copilot to everything is one of the main reasons I moved away from Windows for work 🙄. Please stop trying to force me to use your AI that doesn’t ever do what you actually ask it to!

This mission has to be one of the best examples of positivity still existing in the current times.

NASA isn't why the US doesn't have universal healthcare, or a social safety net. The US doesn't have those things because politicians with the power to provide them choose specifically not to (with varying levels of support from voters). Enthusiasm for human spaceflight doesn't drive that choice.

I was not prepared to see astronauts crying and hugging in space as they remember their friend and colleague’s late wife. 😭

I don’t think anyone can quite convey the feeling right now as a female space scientist listening to the first woman make observations of the Moon within the lunar sphere of influence 🥹

During this incredible, unifying moment of inspiring international cooperation and spectacular technological achievement, I would really appreciate it if the US president would stop threatening to murder an entire country with bombs.

Still the Only Woman in the Room: A Physicist’s Perspective on International Women’s Day A student once asked me a question during a seminar about the solar wind. We were looking at particle velocity distributions measured by…

I wrote a short piece for International Women’s Day reflecting on my experiences as a woman in physics.
It starts with a moment from teaching about solar wind particle distributions, but it’s really about something much broader.

I'm a Dr in physics, but in the UK...

📣Many researchers are facing the same reality: contracts ending, careers cut short, talent lost. 👥📉

UKRI needs to change course — now. 🧪🔭⚗️

If you’re affected, post your own photo and share this message. Visibility matters.

Space science cannot be isolated from the political conditions which sustain it - or undermine it.

Space science looks outward, but it is inseparable from how we choose to govern knowledge here on Earth. The values that shape science policy ultimately shape science itself.
