The addition (helpfully replacing things I might actually use) of Microsoft Copilot to everything is one of the main reasons I moved away from Windows for work 🙄. Please stop trying to force me to use your AI that doesn’t ever do what you actually ask it to!

This mission has to be one of the best examples of positivity still existing in the current times.

NASA isn't why the US doesn't have universal healthcare, or a social safety net. The US doesn't have those things because politicians with the power to provide them choose specifically not to (with varying levels of support from voters). Enthusiasm for human spaceflight doesn't drive that choice.

This is actually incredible - I wanted to figure out making something similar for a whole solar cycle but am yet to work out the logistics!

Space science cannot be isolated from the political conditions which sustain it - or undermine it.

Space science looks outward, but it is inseparable from how we choose to govern knowledge here on Earth. The values that shape science policy ultimately shape science itself.
