Got the animation and turn system sorted for my hand-drawn horror RPG project "Drawn Blood". Just need to add a quick effects/damage system then that's the basics of combat sorted.

Made a main menu to wrap up an old project that I'm working on again. It's simple but enteraining enough.

Got the navigation system working for AboutNothing and slapped on a quick audio system too. A lot of the drawings are placeholder or a work in progress. Been fun to make so far!

While AI will inevitably improve to a point where it will make enjoyable games with good art and gameplay, we need to understand and appreciate the true value of non-ai games. All the small nuances and decisions a developer makes and how they put a small peice of themselves into their projects

Just realized my typo in independent there, oops. I've got the excuse of being ill, at least

I still always find it pretty impressive what a quick Specular/Normal/Displacement map can do to a really basic texture, the difference is night and day.

Whether intentional or not, the games each have different ways of directing the player through the same space.

I've been playing a lot of Halo: Combat Evolved through The Master Chief Collection recently. It's interesting to see how aspects have changed, such as how the lighting accentuates certain parts of the space whereas the original utilised darkness more.

Made level design a bit easier by making a building generator. Work in progress but I like where it's going. Using the NaughtyAttributes package for the buttons

A quick WIP mockup of my sketched RPG world within AboutNothing, completely contrasting from the cartoony, 3D first-person world they transition in from. Going to change and improve it but I'm proud of it.

Got my simple dialogue system working with audio in AboutNothing. I just need to make the interaction system so it happens all in game now. Its impressive how small systems feel like they add so much to the game.

Thanks! I mainly use Unity, been using it for so long I'm comfortable doing whatever I want in it. This project is "AboutNothing", kind of an ideas dump where I connect a bunch of levels together and have large mechanic changes. This guy is from another area and is visiting this location.

I haven't shown any gameplay so here!
Its supposed to be a goofy little project so its pretty simplistic. but its considerably trickier to play than it looks. I ironically call it my dream game because the movement system literally came from a dream I had of people spinning on bar stools like this.

Been working on a foddian style "rage game", people testing seem to have enjoyed the gameplay so its time to refine the environments a bit. All WIP, going to change more but its cool to see it progress over time.

I can see the similarities there but unfortunately not. It was a NPC character for a cancelled game I was making, he's called Doug, and he digs!

New to Bluesky so I should probably do a bit of an art dump of some of my drawings, mainly done during work breaks!
I'm more of a programmer/designer than an artist but Im proud of how much I've developed over the years

Might as well chuck this clip on here as this is a new account, a work in progress level of my game working title "AboutNothing", tried to focus on the ambience of exploring a few different pathways before going into the mechanics of this area. Roughly made and not final

Done a quick go-over my greybox levels to add a palette to each of them. Looking extremely basic so far until the design is finalized, but the people testing seem to be enjoying playing it so far!
