I’m interested in creating a writing crit group for trans femmes that will meet regularly online. Comics and prose, generally. Genre fiction, mostly. It will be a small group, 4-6 people or so. This is a group for serious trans lady-types who have professional writing goals. DM me if interested!
I think there can be a benefit in keeping a junk file when you're revising. Rather than just deleting a section, copy it into the file. Maybe it becomes the perfect passage for something else. #kidlitchat
Definitely agree. I chuck mine into Evernote so it's easy to locate later.
Nice shot!
Important experimental finding on the armrest, too. 😄
Surround yourself with the kind of people who help turtles cross the road.
We are now 90% of the way to our sales goal!! Let's blow this thing out of the water!
Five ring-billed gulls with wings in various flight positions--upper left with wings back as if preparing to land, upper right making a banking turn, just above a bird with wings fully extended and tail toward the camera, which is just above a bird seen from a quartering rear right position with its wings bent and extended above its body, and finally the lowest bird, seen from roughly the same angle, but with its wings bent and forward, obscuring its body and tail fanned out. Below them, there's a splash pattern in the brown, smooth river water.
Today’s #BirdOfTheDay alt theme is #WhatTheFlock any capture of three or more of the same bird.

Yes, but for most people, most of the time, what you think you're going to do when you purchase, what you actually do, and what your mental accounting model says you did are usually three different things.
A portrait of a bighorn ram, looking directly at the camera over the back of an ewe standing next to him. He has a piece of brush sticking out of his mouth. Snowflakes can be seen in the air.

Thanks! I honestly don't know if those are real flowers on that hat or not.
A straw hat, worn by an unseen person, is in the foreground. The had is being examined by an owl riding on the glove of a woman with wire-rim glasses in renaissance dress, including a big, poofy leather hat of her own.
That hat got lots of attention, both human and avian, during the show.
Brown and white owl in the upper left takes a hard look at a lady's straw hat with lots of yellow flowers and leaves. It seems to suspect there may be prey lurking in all that greenery.
Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Petals&Perches any bird with flowers in capture.
I admit I'm pushing it with this one, but I couldn't resist sharing this. It's from a raptor rehab group's show at our local Ren Fair. (The hat does have flowers.)

Thanks for sharing and that is a marvelous view of an amazing bird.
This is going to make the next month even harder. So if you want to do something to help, now is a great time to support my Patreon.
As I go to bed, this is already 59% of the way to its sales goal!! It would be so cool to see it at 100% when I wake up, and I know the other 93 authors would be thrilled to hit our goal early too!
Soooo maybe celebrate #IndieApril with a Big Lesbian Bundle of #IndieBooks?
An osprey dives down towards the water, its talons out in front, in order to grab a fish just swimming under the surface.

NGL, I never thought I'd get to see a solid Illinois Central-painted lash-up in person, but then while out on the CN Fulton Subdivision in western Tennessee yesterday I managed to see *two* separate trains being pulled by a pair of "deathstar" SD70s!

Yeah, I always figured the biggest hurdle to following the advice, "Give the people what they want." is figuring out what that is.
Although, that is a gorgeous picture.
That is a fabulous shot.
A red tailed hawk starting to take flight off a telephone pole with high voltage signage
Caught a red tailed hawk album cover today. 🪶
Tall, sharp-sided mountains with some scattered snow on them dominate the frame. Blue sky above, with a few pine trees in the foreground, along with a twisty body of water that looks like it might be a calm river but is actually a lake. There's a kayaker in an orange boat wearing red jacket as well, barely visible as a dot on the river.
For #MountainMonday, here's the Grand Teton in Grand Teton National Park, with a kayaker on String Lake in the foreground.

An update on @tkingfisher.com's The Sworn Soldier, which is coming together beautifully and up for preorder: subterraneanpress.com/newsthe-swor...
Bird with blueish-gray wings and face and a dull red breast has its left side toward the camera, and has its head turned far enough left that the eye and beak are visible. Feathers on its back and back of its head are swept up by a gust of wind.
Today's #BirdOfTheDay Alt Theme is #Turdidae, any of the bird species in this group. Here's a windblown eastern bluebird.

Rüppell's vulture on a Hippo carcass
The #BirdOfTheDay theme is #ComeEatWithMe: Rüppell's vulture on a Hippo carcass in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Caught in the act for today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme #ComeEatWithMe. This bald eagle gripping its catch tight along the shoreline and making quick work of its meal.

The head of a bright red cardinal with a black face and crest bent sharply to the left dominates the frame, looking at the camera. His reddish beak has green seeds hanging out of it, and a seed pod hangs in the background.
Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #ComeEatWithMe, birds who have food in their beaks.
