#209townhall @uhis209evenreal.bsky.social focus on the final project to give it my full best work will definitely be best for myself, and I think my classmates as well.

#209townhall @uhis209evenreal.bsky.social Personally, I was really stressed with a lot of assignments coming up and dates to remember, but after you adjusted the final few module weeks, I feel relieved knowing what to expect and having it all mapped out in the annoucement post. Allowing me to...

#hwa7 #listening In my current draft, the "what's next" to happen is a little too direct for the audience. If I were to revise what my piece wants, I would include less of the actual movements itself, and more on the overall meaning itself.

#hwa7 #thirdvoice The third voice is evident in Patty's work as we see a different understanding of "making sense" and not making sense throughout the piece. I feel like everyone interprets what they see differently, which creates the balance of the third voice.

#hwa7 #surrealism Patty uses sounds and aligns them with a wide variety of images that align with the narration in season 2 specifically. However, she has parts where they don't align to show how everything doesn't need to be perfect.

#hwa7 #budgetconstraints I feel like the most important constraint she described was working in a small studio rather than a high-end studio with equipment. I felt like this was important because it shows how creative and weird you can get with limited materials.

#hwa7 #propsarenotjustprops Personally, the scene with the two people spinning the fidget spinners stuck out to me the most. I feel like this is because of the "surprise" I felt when I would visualize seeing it, even though I didn't expect it to be part of the Painted Dreams.

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty Patty wants us to feel "surprised" when creating our SME. As we constantly hear in the 209, being surprised and confused is key to success.

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty She describes that this is a "documentary of fiction." I feel like this is true but I feel like the documentary part shows its' moments throughout with some questionable parts that may not fit that description.

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty I felt like Patty's description of finding that difference of complete match and mismatch and finding the middle of both is a perfect explanation of Patty's work

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty I think it's very impressive with Patty's overall editing and imagery with the small studio Patty had. I really thought it was taken at a high-end studio with high features. She best described it as "using what I had".

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty When Patty describes how, when they were kids, the episodes were stretched out. Do you think it's more effective for shorter episodes?

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty When Patty descibes how it was "hard" to describe what came first the visuals or the narrative, I feel like the answer Patty responded as the visuals were inspirations for the actual narriation.

#painteddreams Noticed repetition here, back in season one with the "throwback clip". I feel like it is more impactful in this season as the narration aligns with the imagery.

#painteddreams The sense of worry in this visual doesn't actually represent the tone used throughout the narration. I wish the narration would follow the structure of the imagery throughout.

#painteddreams Personally, I like how the narrative is being conveyed through images. I feel like it allows us to interpret and visualize what we are hearing into images.

#painteddreams The use of imagery as each emotion is being described is very unique here.

#painteddreams I thought this throwback of childhood dancing disrupted the flow as a lot of the visuals were described with live visuals but this throwback changes the narrative of the overall season.

#painteddreams What is the purpose of the Charmin toilet paper on both sides? For design? Is there a deeper meaning? Genuinely confused.

#painteddreams One initial notice is the tone early on in season 1. The tone is very monotone and is very depressing, and slowly delivered to the audience.

#painteddreams I thought this shot was pretty interesting as Patty explains her grandmother as she's ironing the flag. I feel like this shot is unique with the distinct display of both images.

#sme3review 5. The system almost fails at 2:01-2:07 when the screen changes with no images and we begin to see a new central object (baskertball image) placed. For myself, I struggled to value the importance of changing the computer as the center to becoming a different object.

#sme3review 4. This video is pretty slow-paced as each item was placed properly and connected to the central object of the computer. As the time went on, since there was less space, the timing slowed down until the system was changed towards vertically stacking the items.

#sme3review 3. One essential moving shot was at 2:26 when the Aveeno was placed on top of the image and showed us a NEW system of organization being presented by stacking rather than next to one another and connected.

#sme3review 2. I learned how to watch this film at about 0:49 when the Iphone was placed touching the computer and the objects continued to add up around it. All the objects were connected and gave the audience an understanding of the system.

#sme3review 1. This video is teaching us about organizing and valuing how to structure things. At 0:32, 0:43 and 1;17 the objects are placed perfectly around the computer to give a sense of organizing around the central object.

#sme3review 5. One moment where the system almost failed was at the 1:41-2:05 range as the repetition was extremely stretched and altered the pattern and system that was created.

#sme3review 4. The video shows a high level of repetition consistently throughout after each action is helped from the other individual. I feel like timing is pretty consistent although some actions were stretched a little too far which disrupted the pattern.
