Standing on a ledge in the immediate foreground right, a man in long coat and fluttering scarf stares at a tall structure rising against red tinted clouds. The tower is an abstraction of engineering more complete at the top with sporadic plates of white on the face and twin booms projecting right. The motley tower stands on two legs of metal with beams twisting up and around. A line of burning orange sunset breaks through the ominous cloud cover low in the sky. Another gap above reveals a patch of pale blue sky. A pair of parallel red lines project from the ledge into the open air. They suggest rails curving around a bend as they thread into the open center of the structure. Wind carries smoke white transforming to black as it sweeps upward.
