I feel like the whole MS operating system has deteriorated! Freezes, crashes, weird issues all the time on home laptop and school one!

There are many good reasons not to use Amazon, but even if you only care about price, not using them reduces their ability to fix higher prices. Even if you can't go completely without them buying less is still worthwhile
Following on from last week's bs "investigation" which absolutely misrepresented the scale and nature of people potentially claiming asylum under false grounds, it is exceptionally hard to see how this is in any way acceptable and not blatant bias. This is an advert not a news piece.
White-flowered Field penny-cress growing by the side of an arable field.
First patch of Alexanders I’ve seen on the farm, on a rather bare field corner near a road.
Shining cranesbill with its bright pink flowers and red stalks growing next to some paving.
Lovely white Greater Stitchwort seems to be doing well this year, here part of a big patch flourishing on the grassy bank next to a quiet back road.
A few local flowers for #Wildflowerhour, with Field Penny Cress for the #cabbagefamily challenge!
As @goodlawproject.org have pointed out, among many others, Palantir is a company inextricably linked to the Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, and the Labour government as a whole. When they come out with scary shit like this it is time to cut ties, fast.

Do you live in east Dorset and like butterflies? We urgently need someone to take over a vital transect at Hod Hill that has been running for 44 years. See our website for details

They really are going to try to cling on by persuading everyone that it was the fault of civil servants acting entirely spontaneously. Incredible scenes
Can you imagine if Starmer was honest about this "Yeah we hired a deeply corrupt and evil individual, in defiance of him failing a security clearance, because we hoped his close relationship with the world's most notorious sex trafficking peodo would help the relationship with the peodo president"
We do have sunshine in the UK too. Why aren’t we doing this?
BBC News is going very hard on its investigation into advisers who help people ‘fake’ asylum claims, focusing especially on people who falsely claim to be gay. But it doesn’t say what percentage of claims are made on the basis of sexuality. As of 2023 — the last available figures — it was 3%.
People of Bath, it would only take £93.50 to get us to £6,000 as donations are doubled by Aviva. All this rain reminds me how much more work we need to do to block land drains and plant wetland trees to catch rainwater before it rushes into the River Avon. www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/warleigh-n...
He's 16 FFS. The Home Office knows that the chances are, as with most people piloting small boats, that he was forced into doing so by gangs. He should be having his asylum claim processed, not being prosecuted.

I have set up a “Save our Essex Swifts!” Facebook group.

I want to raise awareness of this declining species and any initiatives and projects in Essex. If you are interested in following progress, follow the link above and click on “join group” 😊

Disgusting reporting by BBC using a tiny number of cases to suggest widespread abuse of a system which routinely denies LGBTQIA+ individuals asylum and forces them back into environments of persecution. This article massively distorts the reality of the situation. 1/

This ⬇️ in every focus group feelings of insecurity, cost of living crisis, “not living, just surviving” dominate and it’s clearly not because theyre misled by the media as some allege - they’re talking about actual cut backs/degredations in quality of life they’ve made in spite of “the data”
I don't know why this is so hard for some people to grasp. If we extend our use of fossil gas, rather than going all-out for grid batteries, heat pumps and induction hobs, we extend our dependence on *foreign* sources of gas, regardless of whether we also use the UK's last remaining reserves. 🧵
it'd be great if you could get off Substack
I want to identify every single plane that carried one of these kids to a camp.
Wild that Altman is being sued by his sister for repeated sexual abuse and that doesn’t come up in basically every conversation about him. I get that it’s alleged but if that shit was happening to someone else I feel like that would come up, particularly if that person had a history of lying a lot.
Just going into seed but honestly such a bonkers looking photo, like it's some Himalayan valley rather than the side of a railway in Hartlepool and a female clone of Butterbur albeit one that spreads for hundreds of metres #WildflowerHour

A tiny white flower in the midst of green leaves.
Oval leafed plant with hairy stems sprouting from under a fallen tree branch, on ground covered with old dry leaves.
New to me this one - three nerved sandwort spotted among the bluebells in a damp area of the woodland near a stream. #wildflowerhour #woodlandplants
A carpet of bluebells with purple bells and green leaves, covering the floor of a woodland with outgrown coppice in the background.
Chunky old coppice stools and a sea of beautiful bluebells in a woodland.
One week, two local bluebell woods! One on the farm, the other Chalkney Wood an SSSI managed by Essex County Council and Forestry England. #wildflowerhour #woodlandplants

Want to know where to see butterflies in Cambridgeshire?
I prepared a short guide to many of the best sites across the county. From the Small Blues of Magog Down, to Wall Brown in the Fens, to the Skippers of Swaddywell.

Nearly 1 in 6 UK species are threatened with extinction.
We've lost 97% of our wildflower meadows since the 1930s.
We have 73 million fewer birds than in the 1970s - a decline of almost a third.
And yet some politicians still just see wildlife as a blocker to progress.
The @nationaltrust.org.uk only rarely ask their members to take political action, but when they do, it’s seismic.
Please take the NT’s action, email your MP demanding the Government protect 30% of the UK for nature by 2030: campaigns.nationaltrust.org.uk/page/186395/...

Good to see some more movement on garden bird feeding but ultimately we need a rethink, not just because of disease but because making common birds commoner can make rare ones rarer #Ornithology #UKBirding

The woman being murdered in the video Trump posted was an immigrant. Her name was Nilufar Yasmin. She was from Bangladesh. Trump is weaponizing her death against communities like hers. Outstanding reporting from @pabloreports.bsky.social for Migrant Insider. migrantinsider.com/p/her-name-w...
From today, for thousands of couples and families staying together in the UK just got even more expensive.
Visa fees are rising again — quietly wrecking lives.
We know that around 60–70% of many visa fees are profit
This is not cost recovery, it is excessive charging at the expense of families💔
Almost any building, school, or parking lot could be turned into a #solarpower plant and provide #cleanenergy for our cities and homes.
