#galaxy #astro #space

A stunning telescopic mosaic showcasing the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) and the Triangulum Galaxy (M33), two major members of the Local Group, separated by approximately 14 degrees. The bright star Mirach (beta Andromedae) is centrally positioned between them, within our own Milky Way galaxy. Faint dust clouds are also visible, highlighting the vastness of space and the gravitational connection between these distant galaxies. Future simulations predict close encounters and potential mergers between the Milky Way, M31, and M33 billions of years from now.

Stunning telescopic view of Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks above the western horizon near June Lake on March 30th. Its ion tail and greenish coma are clearly visible alongside the bright star Hamal (Alpha Arietis). The comet was also visible during the April 8th total solar eclipse, though only for those in the path of totality.

Messier 78, also known as NGC 2068, is a reflection nebula in the constellation Orion. This was captured from my garden over four nights in mid-January.

Waning gibbous moon from last night at 23:00 PM Western European Time (WET). I am definitely not good at photographing the Moon, but I may spend more time in this area in the future. #astronomy #astrophotography

The Heart and Soul Nebulae lie in the constellation of Cassiopeia. They are around 7,500 light-years from our solar system, and the total area they span is roughly 200 light-years. This photo was taken almost two months ago from my backyard.

Flaming Star and Tadpole Nebulae lie in the constellation Auriga, 1500 light-years away from our tiny planet. One of the stars you see in this photo may harbor intelligent life. Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known. #astronomy #astrophotography
