New in @natecoevo.nature.com, we show that nonlinear dynamics like oscillations & chaos occur in 81% of marine fish populations worldwide. Nonlinearity was correlated with the magnitude of fluctuations & amplified by temperature variation & in fast-lived species. 🌍🌐

📈 This is what progress looks like! This working group, hosted by the CEM & funded by CIEE, brought together several bright minds from McGill, Yale, the Norwegian University of Science & Technology, and @uofguelph.bsky.social to focus on linking organismal thermal tolerance to population processes.
We can’t wait to dig in to this topic with some amazing speakers! We will explore barriers to effective and inclusive communication in different settings, and identify ways to address them.
Stay tuned for more details!
Congrats @joeybernhardt.bsky.social!!! ✨
