Understood. Part of what I find so infuriating about this story was how many powerful people knew about him abusing his position and didn’t step in earlier. I believe in the informal networks but as you said that only goes so far.

I think whisper networks can cut both ways- among those who don’t feel safe enough to come forward, but also among those who know and fail to hold accountable. What’s so damning here is he has been an open secret of abuse for a long time. Why did other men allow that?
