A fun trip to Beijing for the 3rd edition of the LPJ-GUESS training school at Beijing Normal University with @lundjing.bsky.social, @haoming98.bsky.social and Stefan Olin. Many cool projects from the participants and interesting conversations. Learnt a lot!
The weather has been super blessing!!

We used #ARALAB climate chambers to mimic future #climate conditions and studied how arctic plants respond to a warmer future with more frequent extremes. We will have a few more papers from this large experiment, including setting the observed responses in ecosystem model #LPJGUESS. Stay tuned.
Some @voltcenter.bsky.social members are attending the department retreat in beautiful Helsingør. Anders Piemé presented on global warming and the effects on soil, and @lundjing.bsky.social was fact-checking the temperatures 🤓🌡 🌎
So happy for this amazing opportunity! Using my time in Australia to integrate my #Arctic shrub data into #models to improve our understanding of #warming effects in the Arctic 🌱📊 Also did some new #fieldwork, so stay tuned! 🌳🪲Thanks to @voltcenter.bsky.social and everyone who made this possible!
Come to join Yi's group and our VOLT center @ucph.bsky.social to conduct cool fieldwork and lab experiments to explore #peatland #VOC dynamics and explore #biogeochemical process underneath.
Congratulations to all Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions grantees! At @voltcenter.bsky.social, we got 4: Yunyao Ma, @zzwy.bsky.social, Mehrshad Foroughan and Cecilia Costas Selas. What an amazing achievement!

Spatial variations in county-based crop fraction changes, defined as the fraction of crop-sown area over total cropland area.
A study maps the optimal locations for crops in China under various climate-change scenarios. Moving crops to new areas could increase food production and decrease both water use and leached nitrogen fertilizer. In PNAS Nexus: academic.oup.com/pnasnexus/ar...
The process-based model #LPJ-GUESS helped us identify the optimal locations for planting specific crops in China to enhance crop production and minimize environmental impacts under various future climates.

10 days left till you submit an EGU abstract. Hope to meet you in April in Vienna. #modelling #ecology #climate-response #ecosystem-dynamics
Hi Robert, I would like to join the starter pack as well. Thanks!
📢 Less than 2 weeks to apply for these two modelling postdoc positions.
🌍 Come join us at the Centre of Excellence @voltcenter.bsky.social, Copenhagen, Denmark. @ucph.bsky.social
🍀 Many collaboration opportunities are awaiting you.
I would like to join as well. Thanks.
We have two 3-year post doc positions open for applications at @voltcenter.bsky.social in Copenhagen, Denmark
1⃣ Microbial trait modeling
2⃣ Modeling Ecosystem Dynamics and Atmospheric Feedback

VOLT is a Center of Excellence and Copenhagen a fantastic city. Contact me if Q's.
My review on volatile compounds in Arctic ecosystems was just published in Annual Reviews. It's a must-read if you're curious about why tundra plants smell strongly on sunny days & which gases besides CO2 and methane are released from thawing permafrost.

EGU Session BG3.8
#EGU2025 Call for abstract for EGU Session BG3.8! We welcome you who work with ecosystem/ecological models to discuss recent advancements in your models to improve simulated responses, dynamics and process interactions.
Me please, thanks!
Thanks, Rosie. I just created my Bluesky account. Let the adventure start :)
