Got it at Rustington at 8.17 thank you, which is most unusual for a single bird and just me watching. Poor other than that again....

Pom Skua prediction chart for the south coast of England
It's coming up to Pomarine Skua time for us so here's the legendary Janman-Jones Selsey Pom prediction chart, a bit of fun really but surprisingly accurate! How accurate this year we shall see soon...
Some movement this morning, but nothing too heady!!! Nice to have a few Whimbrel through, S/Terns, Gannets and Scoter. Lucky to have two Caspian Gulls drop down on the beach in front of me.#sussexbirds #UkBirding

With the local flooded fields now drying, the habitat was perfect for some of our earlier migratory birds. Great to have a Little Ringed Plover on the patch in Angmering.

First Wheatear of the year on my local patch and an absolute belter in the warm sun. Yesterday I had 4 Swallows over, so Spring feels like its here!
Another outstanding report of what's to come next month (March) by Paul James. Still lots about and exciting times to come as Summer migrants start to appear.

Might be the light but looks like a Green Sand.
31 sps seen in Sussex woodland yesterday. Marsh & Coal Tits in good numbers. 2 Hawfinch & a Dartford Warbler gave good views. Fircrest's & Goldcrests were numerous as were Kites, Buzzards & Ravens. The stand out though was watching displaying Goshawks in the bright blue sky.

I had a brief visit yesterday but only 2 birds. Good selection of others though including displays Gos. (Rewell Wood)

Might be too late or they might have gone, but they are usually right out the far back towards the left. There is a separate bit of water behind the main flood. Telescope needed :)
A couple of good bird finds in Sussex for January. Tundra Bean Goose on my local patch and then a Caspian Gull on an industrial estate, most likely from a German project, but awaiting info. Nice comparison v Herring Gull.
