There has never been a truer statement. The drought is real. I am positively parched.
A single line does not define poverty; it is a complex phenomenon shaped by systemic factors.
Current systemic structures keep people in poverty. To address them, we need better policies and solutions, such as higher minimum wages, affordable housing and access to health care and education.
I think part of it is that the large influx of new accounts are kind of burying everyone. And part of it is that this place is still small, AND that so many people give up--for the same reasons--and go back to X or Instagram.
