Cumulative incidence curves comparing amoxicillin-clavulanate to amoxicillin for acute sinusitis in adults. Graphs display treatment failure, new antibiotic use (with and without outpatient encounters), and antibiotic-associated adverse events over 14 days.

Cumulative incidence curves comparing amoxicillin-clavulanate to amoxicillin for acute sinusitis in adults. Graphs display treatment failure, new antibiotic use (with and without outpatient encounters), and antibiotic-associated adverse events over 14 days.

Among adults with #AcuteSinusitis, standard-dose amoxicillin-clavulanate did not reduce treatment failure compared with amoxicillin, while overall failure and hospitalization rates were low in both groups.
