The acropolis of Lindos, a natural citadel which was fortified successively by the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Knights of St John and the Ottomans. Finished around 300 BC, although when I was there a guy was doing a bit of concreting!

Glastonbury Abbey was a monastery in Glastonbury, Somerset, England. The abbey was founded in the 8th century and enlarged in the 10th. Destroyed by a fire in 1184, it was subsequently rebuilt, and by the 14th century it was one of the richest and most powerful monasteries in England. From at least the 12th century, the Glastonbury area has been associated with the legend of King Arthur, a connection promoted by medieval monks who asserted that Glastonbury was Avalon.

Probably not Colin, not been out that much this week (grandparent duties!). So the combination of newly shot/old/reflections is a bit much for me 😐

A high-contrast, black and white street photography self-portrait captured with a Lumix GX9 and Leica 25mm lens at f/4.0 and 1/6 sec. The image utilizes a reflective effect, showing me standing centrally in Buchanan Street, Glasgow, layered over architectural details of tall buildings and shopfronts. To the right, a ghostly, translucent silhouette of a person wearing a beanie is visible. The composition is moody and textured, featuring heavy grain, light leaks, and a dreamlike quality that blends the human figures into the urban environment. Light reflects off wet pavement and glass surfaces, creating a complex, layered scene of urban life.

A b/w photo of Carreg Samson (also known as Carreg Sampson, Samson's Stone, or the Longhouse) is a 5000-year-old Neolithic dolmen located half a mile west of Abercastle near the Pembrokeshire Coast Path in Wales.
It is called "Samson" because of a local legend that Saint Samson of Dol placed the capstone in position with his little finger

Abstract photo of the side of a blue metal skip in a scrapyard. A deep rusted horizontal line across the middle and a circular ring of rust from something being pressed/worn against it. The blue paint is well worn it’s surface scratched and eroded in places, the orange rust like gestural drawing marks.

Thanks Rob, the framing was copied from a master! I was going to post a less cropped version but decided to follow how the well known photograph was cropped. Wells is truly worth a visit.
