Still alive, Still have BIOMECH on the mind!
College. You get it. Ok cool I promise I'll have things eventually. Lining a test up and things keep moving slow. Simply the nature of doing things sometimes
Posts by BIOMECH
I already have some loose plans and an idea doc for how I want to tackle the beta, and I'll be keeping an eye on my feedback form for anything interesting. there could even be a new one page ttrpg between now and then, it just depends. more to come, thanks for keeping an eye on this

so things are gonna slow down even more than they already have, I am sorry for that. But I love this game so much, I don't think I could abandon it if I tried - so expect updates even if they are slow to come. I have to put myself first, despite me just wanting to create things forever
working with a group to do some testing for the public alpha release, fully new to the game and without me being the GM. Once that is done, if there are any dire things to tweak I'll do that and then let it loose unto the world
and then I start college.
First draft of the first part of the adventure finally written. I did a lot of rewriting and reworking because some ideas changed halfway through, and life has not helped either. You'll see it with the Alpha release, but the title of this adventure is
BIOMECH: Heavy Is The Crown
eugh, had some AI account follow while I was away.
Reminder that this project does not use, will never use, and despises the use of AI in place of human creation
I'll come back and make noise when I drop the full alpha release. It could be a minute, I am getting into college after not going for years. Life is happening, but so is BIOMECH! I'll be back with an alpha release, thank you so much for looking at my stuff (:
I make things here: jetmanjay.itch.io
I need to make some fine-tuned adjustments, make the sheets a little more readable, and wrap the starter mission. I think I have been stuck on making it perfect, rather than good. I appreciate you guys looking at my stuff despite my silence! I hope to have more good news soon!
Hi, realized I never posted here, but I am away from social media for mental health reasons. I have been picking away at BIOMECH (and other projects) while I have been stepping back, however!
Truly, BIOMECH is in an alpha release state.
Cont.
I have been fighting for my life in these programs to make BIOMECH. Looking to make creating this thing easier, it has been a thorn in my side for quite some time
it is 4 pages. not a great looking 4 pages, but a mostly organized 4 pages to continue forward with
I at the very least want these to be a step up from the word documents the current character sheets are. I can at least manage that!

a rough draft of a character sheet for BIOMECH, with a table hanging off the page due to running out of room
trying to make character sheets is a fun until you run out of space. early thoughts are that it will be 4 pages total:
Character info, Pilot stats, BIOMECH stats, and BIOMECH weapons. either way, the goal is to make these easier to navigate and read. This is of course a rough draft for the alpha.
alright, back to business as usual
ok so the idea has taken a firm hold of my brain. Great news though; it is reinvigorating my desire to work on BIOMECH as well! Taking a step back for a small side project is healthy, wouldn't you know it?
Not dead, promise!
BIOMECH comes first, but this idea was jamming up my brain so it had to at least be started. Thread if you are interested, but otherwise expect a BIOMECH update soonish!
Still working on this, just been real busy (birthday, people visiting, all that.)
Also I started re-writing the mission and story. Decided to follow something else that made a bit more sense
also, I plan on taking an intentional break once the alpha is out and working on a one page TTRPG I've had rolling in my head for a while. Clear my head of BIOMECH for a sec to let fresh ideas roll in. Go follow @jetmanjay.bsky.social if you want to see that on my break
Halfway done with writing the alpha mission! Certainly a new challenge, writing something for someone else to tell the story.
Once that is done, it is more testing and tweaking, and then we'll have an alpha release after editing!
You each enter your bodies, taking their muscles as your own. Bodies that are not the ones you started in, but are you all the same. You are it, but it is only a part of you. You are countless bodies, bodies that will do as you tell them because they are a part of You. You are the intent, the thought behind the actions taken. These bodies are simply the tool you use. You have a mission, Pilot.
working a bit on some prose surrounding the idea of entering and taking control of a BIOMECH. Thought it was neat enough writing to share here, and dips the player's toes into understanding there is some mental toll to Piloting.
This is for the GM to read out
back to writing

keep in mind, this is rough draft material. I'm procrastinating right now to tell you about it!

Chapter 1: A long, dusty road Hours ago, you set foot for the first time on this planet, Nosa. It is a barren place, mostly comprised of crags, canyons, and arid flats under a blue-green sky. Under its surface, a wealth of minerals in dire need of processing for various war efforts. You have all been contracted to assist SynthSky Armory in recovering three scientists from a mercenary group, Steel Crown. It is assumed the scientists are still alive, and that Steel Crown was paid off by a rival corporation, Luchart Aerospace, to abduct these scientists and extract company information. At the head of Steel Crown is a Dredge going by the name of Sawtooth, he is known to be an exceptionally dangerous criminal on the run from multiple corporations. You will be heading through the Redrock Crags to eventually arrive at the Steel Crown mercenary outpost. Resistance is expected in the canyon, and you have clearance to neutralize any threats as you see fit within. It is ill-advised to go over the canyon, as you will likely be bombarded by rival corporations for moving military equipment out in the open. Eventually, the canyon becomes too narrow for BIOMECH navigation, and you will proceed on foot to the outpost. Once at the outpost, the retrieval of the scientists is paramount. You will be paid additional for the removal of the Steel Crown threat as Central sees fit. Once the site is secure, you will contact Central so a transport caravan can arrive, and medically assess and extract the scientists. They will also sweep the area and assess the situation before sending payment to you. You have just finished a meeting with Regional Security Officer Valius Taver in Synthsky Central, and are walking towards the hangar bay where your BIOMECHs are waiting. You turn and walk down a wide hallway, painted pale gray and lit in a cold light. The far end opens into the hangar bay, and near that end is a door into the requisitions office.
I know the writing updates are not as cool as the art ones were, but while waiting to test I started actually working on the test mission and writing more than some notes only I know. This is planned to release alongside the full alpha release, and expand to a full adventure for the full release!
anywho, ramble over. go look at my thing, or play it, or tell a friend about it! it really does help, and I absolutely do not have a budget for marketing. I'll hopefully be back next week with notes and a direction for more changes.

Just slowly picking away at things while searching for a job as well. If you do play this, I would love an email at biomechgame@gmail.com, or a response on the feedback form! I promise to keep working on this, I'm too deranged not to, but seeing people interact with my project is a boost to morale
Hi, just an update. Pretty busy with some family stuff, but hoping to get a proper test of the new version in next week.
Also beginning to properly write the mission to be released alongside the full alpha release.
You can play it with friends by going to jetmanjay.itch.io/biomechttrpg
Actually, after sleeping on it, making it engagement based kinda sucks
Go, look at my work! I'll be posing changelogs on this page with each new version. This is a WIP, so don't expect something super duper polished!

BIOMECH alpha versions ready to download on an itch.io page
I mean what I say, you can see every step along the way! Aside from some initial early, early idea docs that aren't anything usable for playing the game and don't really represent what it has become
I got sick today and then got bored, so let me sweeten the pot.
EVERY VERSION.
EVERY MISTAKE.
ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE FIRST VERSION THAT WAS TESTED.
And the promise that every version tested will be released on this itch page, alongside the finished version years from now.
