You've never seen human anatomy like this before.

Using a particle accelerator, the Human Organ Atlas is producing 3D scans of our organs in unprecedented detail! You can look through different layers of tissue and even zoom in on the cells for the heart, lungs, eyes, kidneys, and more.

My son's school did an assembly on 'How to Revise' and his main take home was that he required revision snacks!

#mathsconf40 Aysha Rahman’s session provided great insights into the key topics that have been shown to be strengths of students achieving the grade above.

I appreciate all the time and effort that must have gone into analysing all of the data and collating it all to present in today’s session.

@berrymaths.bsky.social session on Embedding Problem Solving was a great session with lots of discussion about what makes a question a problem solving question.

The resources came from the AQA ‘Focus for Success’ packs. #mathsconf40

Looking forward to using some of these at our next dept meeting.

@justmaths.bsky.social session was an honest insight into GCSE interventions.

My takeaways were: Communication with parents is a BIG factor for success

QLA data is really useful to give personalised revision.

Don’t wait until Year 11 - get right teacher - right class, well structured curriculum.

Had a great day at #mathsconf40 in Derby. Enjoyed doing some statistics with @mrmattock.bsky.social using blocks to demonstrate finding the mean to help students understand the concept not the ‘method’.

If you’re interested in more CPD he is also running the session linked below.

8 tips for SENDCOs to drive Teaching and Learning for pupils with SEND Helping teachers make the best decisions possible in how they plan, deliver and reflect on their lessons. For me, this is the closest SENDCOs get to having a ‘silver bullet’. SENDCOs’ work is multi…

SENCOs need to know what’s taking place in classrooms. We can survey teachers, ask TAs and analyse data, but it’s always limited unless SENCOs are regularly seeing practice.

An educational graphic titled Which One Doesn’t Belong. The image asks viewers to find a reason why each of four mathematical graphs does not belong, using a provided list of calculus terms.
The four graphs are arranged in a square grid. The top-left shows a periodic cosine wave oscillating between positive and negative one. The top-right shows a standard upward-opening parabola with its vertex at the origin. The bottom-left shows a rational function with a vertical asymptote at the y-axis, where both sides of the curve approach positive infinity. The bottom-right shows a cubic curve that passes through the origin and increases from the third quadrant to the first. To the left of the graphs, a list of suggested vocabulary includes Domain and Range, Continuous and Discontinuous, Differentiable, Increasing and Decreasing, Concave Up and Concave Down, and Point of Inflection.

This "Which One Doesn't Belong" warm-up question generated some rich student discussions today in Calculus class. The word bank was helpful in nudging them to include curve sketching terms in their justifications. #ITeachMath #MathSky #WODB
