🤷 This means that, in the absence of clear legal obligations, prevention efforts remain misdirected towards individuals rather than the more structural culprits: work organisation, design and management

⚖️ The issue today is that EU legislation on occupational safety and health requires protection from all work-related risks, but fails to explicitly define and regulate PSR

Did you know that almost one third of workers in the EU report experiencing stress, depression or anxiety linked to their work❓

By fostering dialogue between research, social partners and EU institutions, the conference aims to support the development of fair, effective and worker-centred responses to climate change, placing #OSH at the heart of Europe’s climate and social agenda 🌱⚖️

💬 The discussions will focus on the growing impacts of climate change on workers’ health, with particular attention to heat stress at work and the need for stronger EU legal tools to protect workers from occupational heat

As part of this work, a survey has been launched to collect experiences and identify case studies. The survey is primarily aimed at worker representatives, but all stakeholders with relevant knowledge are encouraged to contribute.

A new research project led by the ETUI in collaboration with the ETUC is examining how trade unions can better prevent and address weak implementation of occupational health and safety #OSH standards, with a particular focus on international standard ISO 45001.
