Especially for first years - as I get some calling me βMissβ (e.g. hey Miss, whatβs the answer to this qu), and some may be unsure - so it is sort of our unofficial role as individual lecturers to guide them in this (as I understand it). And then Iβve also noticed that Aussie students tend to call
TBH I havenβt really noticed this kind of overt linguistic guidance from the Uni (I went there too) β most lecturers introduce themselves and instruct students on how to refer to them. And most lecturers tell students to use their first name here (I say either Chloe or Dr Castle works fine) -
