Gĩkũyũ word of the day: "ngarĩ" (meaning leopard in English). According to the Rebel Girls book about the late Kenyan activist Dr Wangarĩ Maathai, Wa-ngarĩ means "belonging to the leopard". Gĩkũyũ is a tonal language spoken by over 4 million people in Kenya.
