“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”
John Muir

A visit to Monument Valley in Utah. My best photos cannot give the scale and beauty of this place. Mittens Buttes (Left / East Mitten and Right / West Mitten) and Merrick Butte. #MonumentValley #Photography #EastCoastKin

Fruity Petals™ is a vibrant climbing rose from William J. Radler—yes, the Knock Out® guy—that fans your garden with ruffled blooms of coral fading into apricot and finished with a sunny yellow eye. It explodes in a heavy spring bloom and keeps going with repeat flushes all season. Grace Rose Farm

I am no expert on mushroom identification, but believe this to be a yellow oyster mushroom cluster. The cluster is tiered. The tops of the mushrooms are a golden yellow. The gills run down the cone shaped stems. They are growing on a decaying fallen tree. They are fresh and untouched. Simply beautiful!
First serious mushroom of the session. It's a biggie!!! #fungifriends

Good morning BlueSky...
Staunton State Park near Conifer, CO. Colorados newest state park.
Mount Rainier rises above the far shoreline beyond calm water, with soft pink evening alpenglow lighting the snow-covered upper slopes. Layers of lavender and gray clouds stretch across the sky, while dark trees and scattered waterfront homes form a deep blue band below the mountain. The smooth water in the foreground reflects the cool tones of the scene with a faint hint of pink. The photo feels calm, quiet, and gently luminous.
While I was at the Lake Washington this week, Mount Rainier caught my eye in this beautiful evening light. The pastel sky and quiet reflection gave the whole scene a peaceful feel.

I’ve just stumbled across acres of bluebells in another ‘enchanted’ wood along a footpath on my evening walk 🥹. They are on the other side of the path too, all along, for a huge distance! I’ve never seen so many, anywhere! It was breathtaking, I wasn’t expecting it! Quite overwhelmed! 🥰
You're looking at velvet malachite, Cu2CO3(OH)2.
A few warnings:
Please resist the urge to touch it to feel how soft it is.
Absolutely /do not/ lick it.
Keep far away from any Supermen.
If a wingéd creature emerges, do not agree to any pacts.
Let's talk about the science here.

A vivid digital artwork of a planetary nebula resembling a glowing cosmic eye, with a bright central star surrounded by concentric rings of blue, gold, and white gas. Wispy, luminous filaments radiate outward into a dark star-filled background, creating a dramatic, swirling halo effect.
The void blinked, and in the gap between darkness and forever, an iris of azure flame and gilded interstellar dust unfolds. Tendrils of dying starlight comb the black for a last embrace—a universe-wide sigh dressed in a halo of final, radiant breath.
A greyscale image of a galaxy with a line-like nucleus and a horseshoe-shaped arc above it. The horseshoe points down, and the nucleus is in the center of the arc. It looks like an upside down power symbol, ⏻. The nucleus and horseshoe are dotted with bright star clusters and dark dust lanes.
Hubble Space Telescope image of Arp 6, also known as NGC 2537 or the Bear’s Paw Galaxy.
It has a nucleus that is rapidly forming stars, surrounded by a horseshoe-shaped structure, also forming new stars.
