The light came from a window about 2 x 4 ft in size, it faces south east. I often hang a white translucent curtain over the window. Morning light is best. My studio or spare bedroom is about 10x10 ft. Sometimes I have to stand in doorway. The backdrop is a 10x20 ft backdrop that I can hang on hooks.
