A treasure trove of ever changing graphical shapes, the dead trees in Namibia's Deadvlei, against a backdrop of towering red dunes, never disappoint.

It was one of the most memorable days of my life, a privilege to witness. We were left breathless when we came upon wild and utterly free desert elephants, as they moved along dry river beds in remote parts of Namibia.

For an all too brief moment, a giraffe is enveloped in a sea of golden light, a short-lived respite from the harsh, arid and unforgiving land it calls home.

For a short lived moment, the soft light of the morning sun draws beautiful, dreamy bands of satin across the tips of these otherwise inconspicuous dunes in Namibia's mesmerizing Sossusvlei region.

Greetings from Namibia as I am about to run the first of our annual photography tours in this uniquely beautiful photography paradise! It's always such a pleasure to return to this wonderful, multifaceted country!

I learned how to create more texture with acrylic paints, so I wanted to try it on these #roses. I'm very happy how it turned out! Flowers seem so gentle and elegant, it just feels right to paint them with few but expressive brushstrokes.

A vibrantly colored Slaty-tailed Trogon perched on a mossy diagonal branch amidst lush green foliage. The bird features a deep slate-gray head, back, and long tail, contrasted by a brilliant red belly. Its sharp, dark beak and attentive eye are visible as it looks slightly over its shoulder.

A pair of Slaty-tailed Trogons live in the forest near my house and I hear them in the late afternoon as they hunt for delicious insects near the driveway. At @casabentbill.bsky.social #Costarica
