Unrelated to any particular game, I was playing with figuring out the new Radial UVs node in Blender and managed to make some *really fun* repeating patterns using some repeating textures I had made.

Got this effect by lerping between different color ramp sets via a mask being rotated.

Okay so generally all I've REALLY been doing for the last 3 months is coding rollback AABB collisions from scratch for my platfighter and it took until TODAY to get proper collision & 1-way platforms working. Feeling pretty proud.

I've got Steam, GOG, Epic, any arbitrary exe I desire, and my entire collection of ripped games on a single device

It's over for me.

Okay, so I've been seeing that AsumSaus #SmashBros Icons: Combat Arena video "How (not) to clone a classic" making the rounds.

Yeah sure, Icons was pretty infamous, but it actually reminded me of an earlier attempt at the same thing from 4 (!!!) years before that.

Then there's the controls:

In vertical pairs:
Left:
Pitch Rise
Rise speed

Reverb
Room size

On the right:
Wobble Speed
Wobble Amount

Tone Brightness
Volume

Next is a row of keys:
Randomize - randomizes the sound parameters
UNDO/ REDO - go back to parameters you liked
Export Wav - self explanatory, it saves a copy of the latest sound to your hard drive.

Then the fun buttons, with cute art styles:

IMPACT, sparkle, beam, powerUP, PON, BOOM, slash, woosh

Each produces a preset sound, which then goes through the fx chain.

We're releasing the game we've slowly been working on around our day jobs for free at the start of next year! ✨ My first time working on a game.
