I lined the box with natural grass and sticks so it feels like home and gives their little feet the grip they need to grow strong and avoid injuries. Mama is out foraging, so I’m just keeping my distance and letting them decide when to take that first big leap

To help, I’ve turned the laundry into a "safety staircase" using towels and blankets on the washing machine to give them a soft, grippy place to land. I also built a ground-level "fledgling suite" with two escape tunnels and ventilation to keep them safe and cool.

It’s been a roller coaster. During that 45°C heatwave, the smallest chick was twitching from exhaustion and I wasn't sure they’d make it. Today they are alert and feathered up! Since the nest is 2m high on a radio, I’ve been worried about them falling onto hard concrete.

I’ve been a bit quiet lately while playing "Shed Guardian" for a little family. 🕊️ A few weeks ago, a dove nested on our old work speakers and had two babies. With the brutal heat, I've been doing all I can to help them survive. They're finally almost ready to fledge! ✨
